PS3 News from N4G | NHL 2K7
PS3 - NHL 2K7 - New Features for NHL 2K7 When we first sampled the next-generation version of NHL 2K7 this past May at E3, very few details about its new features were discovered. Sure, we learned of the developer's plans to allow for shadow assignments (re: the ability to tag AI players to follow specific opponents) and that it will have more cinematic camera angles, but other than that, we weren't given a real sense of what to expect. After a few months of silence, however, 2K Sports has revealed a number of new gameplay components that provides hockey fans with a much clearer picture

PS3 News from N4G | Resistance: Fall of Man
PS3 - Resistance: Fall of Man - PS3 Resistance FOM Will Feature 40 Players Online Never before in the history of gaming (or as long as we can remember, anyhow) has there been a FPS game that allowed 40 players to go crazy on a virtual battlefield. PS3 News from N4G | Call of Duty 3
PS3 - Call of Duty 3 - Treyarch Tackling James Bond A recent job listing at Activision suggests that Treyarch, the studio behind Call of Duty 3 and Ultimate Spider-Man, will be developing the next James Bond videogame.
Back in May, Activision announced it had acquired videogame rights to the James Bond license, a property Electronic Arts had handled for years. The Bond franchise is a hot property -- insiders suggested Activision paid around $70 million for the game rights -- though so far the publisher has said little about what the dashing super-spy will be up to next -- or which studio is at the helm.

According to the job listing, "Treyarch is looking for a Gameplay Designer for our upcoming Bond title." The listing further specifies that the Activision-owned studio is now focusing on next-generation console development, suggesting the new Bond may leap clear of older systems.

PS3 News | PlayStation 3
Friday 14 July 2006 Both Sony and Electronic Arts passed on the opportunity to turn Brit horror flick 28 Days Later into a game, according to the film's producer Andrew Macdonald. Macdonald was speaking at the Develop Conference in Brighton this week about the crossover between games and films when he revealed there was little interest in the 28 Days Later licence. Ubisoft delivered a smattering of new screens from Rainbow Six Vegas today. These screens appear to have been taken from the E3 demo that was only shown behind closed doors at the Ubisoft booth. These new shots rehash some stuff you've probably already seen, but they still demand attention by brilliantly showing off the crazy lighting effects that permeate every pore of Rainbow Six Vegas.
