The game hasn't released in the United States, yet, but it seems that SEGA has the downloadable content all figured out. When speaking on DLC, SEGA confirmed it's plan for releasing the future downloadable content for Yakuza 3 in a very elaborate manner.

Yakuza 3 was recently reviewed by the popular Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu and it scored a 38/40. Though the magazine has come under fire as of late for some of it's more eyebrow raising reviews, a 38 is still a very good score.

Famitsu's review also revealed that the title is roughly 30 hours long. That's just for the main storyline as well, so all the karaoke singing, womanizing, golfing, tanning, and whatever other dilly dallying you have Kazuma Kiryu up to is all just bonus time tacked on to that.

First impressions of Sega's open world mobster title, Yakuza 3, are in. The title has scored 10, 10, 9 and 9 from Famitsu's panel of critics, for a combined score of 38/40. This is along the lines of how the previous titles have done. Yakuza 2 got a 38/40 as well, and last year's Yakuza Kenzan! scored a 37/40.

Dofuss says: "Famitsu recently ran an article about a recent Sega event for the release of Yakuza 3. For those who don't know about the series it's basically a gang land fighter, set in Japan, with RPG elements. In the West it received limited commercial success, but critics enjoyed them and their faithful reconstructions of the Tokyo environments.

While the first Western release enjoyed a loving vocal translation, due to its poor reception meant the sequel 'only' received subtitles. This was no bad thing as Sega pulled out all the stops in their recruiting of top tier Japanese vocal talent.

Yakuza 3 is no exception. Though my knowledge of their names is limited all but three of the twelve cast members at the Sega event were immediately familiar. Disturbingly the three unfamiliar member of the cast were the hostess's voices who even in the article were described merely as 'talent' (at least in the sections of the article I was able to read)."

Sega of Japan has just announced a massive marketing campaign to promote it's upcoming title, Yakuza 3.

This will include a tie up with Japanese fasihon magazine Koakuma Ageha to produce a limited print of Yakuza T-Shirts. Matsuya ( a restaurant) will be holding a drawing to give away Yakuza-printed dinner bowls. Karaoke-Kan will be selling Yakuza-themed food and drinks, and will also be airing a special Yakuza 3 commercial. Okinawa Health Food Develop Cooperative will also be offering Yakuza-style health drinks.
