The US gossip writer who was fired after reviewing a leaked copy of X-Men Origins: Wolverine hit back at his former employer yesterday, slapping Fox News and its parent company News Corp with a $5m (£3m) claim for damages. For good measure, the lawsuit accuses Fox of "wilful, reckless, intentional and malicious" defamation.

They start out with a pretty decent title, one of those cases where the game is better than the movie. X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

10:00 AM – If only Jack Ryan had his wings.
Out of all the clues, this is the only one that has me slightly confused. So I checked where all bargain gamers like myself would go, Cheap Ass Gamer. Most users are saying it is Tom Clancy's HAWX, so I'm going to agree for now.

Another guess is Bioshock (based on "Jack Ryan" being in the hint).

3:00 PM – Prepare for the future.
This one I wasn't so sure on, but then vazel from GAF remembered that this was the tag line for Fallout 3.

A slight possibility though, is Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. Seeing how you can already get this for thirty bucks new, I am still putting my money on it being Fallout 3 (especially with the "Game of the Year" edition, they probably want to get rid of this stock)

Activision has announced that new content for X-Men Origins: Wolverine is now downloadable for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

The new content contains the Weapon X Arena which is a level composed of four unique combat simulators.

This week's edition of Critical Reception examines online reaction to Activision's superhero movie tie-in title X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which reviews describe as "a brilliant kind of ridiculous nonsense." Wolverine currently earns a score of 74 out of 100 at Metacritic.com.

Jon Blyth at the Official Xbox Magazine rates Wolverine at 8 out of 10, noting that its Mature-rated content is both overblown and appropriate.

"It's a savage game; the only thing more violent that the damage inflicted on Wolverine is the rapid and nonchalant dismemberment of everyone he comes into contact with," he writes. "Mature's one word for it: absurd and childish are other, more accurate words. But it's a brilliant kind of ridiculous nonsense that'll occasionally pull reluctant cheers out of your grown-up neck."
