PS3 - Race Driver: GRID - V8 Supercars not Dead Gameplayer has some promising news for Codemasters and Race Driver fans regarding the V8 Supercars, rudely removed from the upcoming game GRiD.

PS3 - Race Driver: GRID - GRID designed to break America Codemasters' sexy new racing game Race Driver: GRID has been designed to appeal to American gamers who didn't 'get' TOCA, says chief games designer Ralph Fulton.

"We reached a stage with the TOCA franchise where we'd hit a ceiling with the number of people to whom we could sell that type of content. It certainly does not appeal broadly in the United States, hence unit sales in single digits for previous TOCA games over there," Fulton told Eurogamer.

Race Driver Content Split into Localised Seperate Games Gameplayer is reporting that Codemasters may be looking to split the Race Driver series into separate games for local audiences. This comes from confirmation that Race Driver and V8 Supercars, traditionally the same game, will be split in 2008.

"It would be like splitting FIFA into two games, one with the rest of the world, and one just for the A-League!"
