You are not alone; the guys over at TheBBPS wrote an open e-mail to Dylan Cuthbert, executive producer at Q-games, humorously complaining that his wife finds PixelJunk Monsters just a tad bit too overwhelming and requests difficulty settings for the game. Cuthbert acknowledges his prayers, stating that an upcoming free patch to Monsters will include the ability to make the game easier, or harder, than the default setting.

According to dcuthbert, PixelJunk Eden is going to provide up to 20 hours of gameplay. If that is true then the game is well worth the $9.99 price.

Through proficient use of a telephone, and a little bit of luck Joystiq has found out that a demo of PixelJunk Eden will be available tomorrow on PSN. It is likely the demo will only be available on the US store as Sony Europe are still asleep in regards to all things online not planning to release the game in Europe any time soon.
Seemingly some people have got their hands on Eden already, and the game's Trophy list has been revealed. Oddly, there doesn't seem to be any Golds in there, but with 20 Trophies to collect we reckon that's plenty anyway.
Sony has announced the next PlayStation Network exclusive game PixelJunk Eden has been given a release date on July 31, 2008. The puzzle game will be available in America, Europe and Japan on that day.
Q-Games' third title in the PixelJunk series was on hand at the Sony press booth at E3, where senior producer Deborah Mars gave an introduction to the game's unique play mechanics and explained the title's collaboration between Dylan Cuthbert, president of Q-Games, and Baiyon, the Kyoto-based visual artist and DJ. The latter designer is responsible both for the title's imagery and its electronic soundtrack.
