PS3 News from N4G | PAIN - PS3 Network
PS3 - PAIN - PS3 Network - Upcoming Downloadable PS3/PSP Games Geekpulp writes: "Sony has sent us confirmation of release timing for a few games that were announced last year at E3. Elefunk and Echochrome are the two main items that catch my attention but there is also Flow for the PSP. I am looking forward to Echochrome as I know a lot of people are, there are never enough challenging puzzle games that are so different from the typical falling block games.

Pain is set to be released on the European store (NZ included) this month along with some bonus characters as an expansion. It would be nice if they had released a different map instead of the extra characters as that would increase replayability far more than some new characters."

PS3 News from N4G | PAIN - PS3 Network
PS3 - PAIN - PS3 Network - New PAIN content coming today, 2/21. From leading man Travis Williams, comes this post on the official PAIN site:

"I am actually writing this update in LAX because my flight was just delayed for an hour AGAIN (I am headed to the Game Developers Conference). This past month has been quite the journey. I must admit that it has been a learning experience that wasn't as PAINless as I initially expected. The good news is that if you are still with us then that update is right around the corner. Right around the corner like Thursday the 21st of Feb. This update includes the leader board reset (and the fix to the score exploit) It also includes the Free Single Player Fun With Explosives Mode and Hung Lo.

Single Player Fun with Explosives comes complete with it's own Leaderboard too. Lets see how long it takes for you guys to beat my personal score. I will also answer a few questions (demands) that I have been promising everyone for a while. I hope this will shed some light on what is going on with our PAIN."

PS3 News from N4G | PAIN - PS3 Network
PS3 - PAIN - PS3 Network - Next PAIN character is........arrrrrrg, the Pirate! Via Coke, apparently a senoir board member over at the PAIN boards, we be havin' some scurvy fun in a wee bit! (..don't know if that's actual pirate talk.)

"As I mentioned in my previous post, we can't leave our Pirate lovers hanging, so here's a sneak peek at the guy we're working on now. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Scurv Dogg: We call him "S-Dizzle" round these parts.

Straight from the South Central Seas, Scurv Dogg is a bitter, bitter man, mostly due to the fact that his hip-hop career hasn't blown up yet (mostly due to music Piracy, which is kinda ironic, isn't it?). Perhaps you can give him a hand blowing up with a few careful Ooches into exploding crates. Make it happen, Cap'n! You'll seen Scurv on your Character Select screen some time shortly after Hung Lo makes his entrance. He's not a big guy, but he's hard to miss. You just know we couldn't let Hung Lo operate without someone his own size to pick on."

PS3 News | PAIN - PS3 Network
Dec 10, 07 Sony's PSN game Pain is a slow burner. The concept sounds a bit basic and for the first five minutes play it feels mono-dimensional: a carnival shooting gallery where your gun is a man in a catapult. However, over the past week it's been left on a number of PS3's in GamesRadar's offices (shared by a handful of other PS3 publications) and it's starting to catch on. There's something mesmerising and strangely relaxing about lining up your catapult and knocking stuff down. It's taken ...

PS3 News from N4G | PAIN - PS3 Network
PS3 - PAIN - PS3 Network - Pay for the Pain According to IGN: "The hits keep on coming for Pain, Sony's latest downloadable title that has players launching a character and banking points on how much damage the human projectile does. As IGN reported earlier, two of the in-game characters -- Santa and the curvy Cookie -- are giving gamers error messages when folks try to play as the Christmas-themed duo. The ensuing note asks that PS3 owners reinstall the game."
