UK developer Frontier Developments has released several new shots of its action-adventure game The Outsider, which is currently being developed for PS3 and Xbox 360.
The Outsider is described by Frontier as a "high-tech thriller" and is set in Washington DC. Dave Braben, co-creator of legendary 8-bit space-adventure Elite (an old, space flight/trading sim that rocked us about 20 years ago) has opened up about The Outsider, his forthcoming title for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Braben, famed for his non-linear games, hopes to make this spy story as open-ended as possible with every path and event being explorable at any time, rather than tying the player into pre-set scripts and events.

Edge writes: "SouthPeak Interactive reported record sales of $40.2 million for its fiscal year 2008, an increase of 220 percent year-on-year, the company said Tuesday.
The firm attributed the sharp rise in sales to the increased number of current generation releases.
Net income was $1.6 million, up from a net loss of $866,000 a year ago."

VG247: Codemasters sent word that the PS3 demo of Overlord Raising Hell is to be released on PSN today.
The full game - which includes the originally release Xbox 360 and PC game and the Raising Hell expansion - will release on June 20.
