Two youtube videos showing a Special Ops Mission in Operation Flashpoint 2, played in Hardcore Mode, with another two showing a beach assault, played on Normal Mode. The 4 videos follow the Hardcore video released yesterday, and are part of a new advertising campaign for Operation Flashpoint, showing extensive gameplay and interviews.
Modern Warfare 2's collector's edition is ridiculous. It's Activision testing how stupid you all are. But it's not alone in the over-the-top military shooter collector's edition stakes! No, there's also Operation Flashpoint 2 to consider.
According to Codemasters Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising will, like its predecessor, support the amBx technology of Philips which is supposed to make combat in the military simulation more lifelike. Philips' amBX uses light of different colors, sound, vibrations and even airstream to enhance what is shown on the display. Producer Darren Campion said that using the night vision equipment in Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising would cause the amBX system to react and thus make the gaming experience more realistic.

Codemasters has just announced the official release date for their tactical shooter "Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising".
Codemasters, the developer and publisher of acclaimed videogames including Colin McRae: DiRT and Race Driver: GRID, was honoured at the 2009 Develop Industry Excellence Awards winning the coveted Grand Prix Award. The ceremony was held last night in Brighton, UK, as part of the Develop Conference 2009.
Helios, of the official Codemasters forum, writes; 'Right then, I know pretty much everyone here has been eager to hear a final release date (not window!) ever since the game was announced, and I'm pleased to say that the wait is nearly over and that this will be formally announced this Friday.'
LivePlayStation: It's understandable if your annoyed at Codemasters for twisting and turning the release date of the new Operation Flashpoint. But we're not. After all, the game is going to be the most realistic war game ever made.
