The rumor states that UFC will blacklist any fighter that chooses to be a part of EA's upcoming game, MMA. That means should any fighter sign up to be represented in EA's game, they won't ever be endorsed by the UFC or asked to join. Crazy, right?"

PS3 - EA Sports MMA - Moore: EA Sports MMA Targeting Fighters' Image Rights Following the major success of THQ's UFC 2009 game, EA Sports head Peter Moore says his newly-announced EA Sports MMA title will sign fighters with image rights available.

The rise of mixed martial arts as a sport over the last few years has been significant, and Moore's announcement of EA Sports MMA at this year's E3 means the sport will join titles like Madden, Tiger Woods and FIFA on the EA Sports label.

However, UFC owners Zuffa also control MMA leagues like the WEC and the now defunct Pride, as well as a large majority of famous fighters -- leaving it unclear which MMA stars would be able to sign for Electronic Arts' title.

PS3 - Earth No More - Videogamer: Radar Group working on three next-gen titles Videogamer reports that Radar Group has today announced its official public launch and revealed its first three game projects: Earth No More, Incarnate and Prey 2.

Founded in June 2007, Radar Group co-creates original IP, designed from the ground up, for successful leveraging in the game and film markets. The company has a strong belief that original thinking is key and only works with passionate development teams looking to establish themselves with original IP.

"We're something our industry desperately needs," says Scott Miller, Radar's Chief Creative Officer. "Radar is teaming up with many of the industry's top independent studios to help them create original IP in which they own a substantial ownership stake."

PS3 - Earth No More - 3D Realms Refutes Earth No More Suit 3D Realms CEO Scott Miller has defended his studio's upcoming game Earth No More, following a lawsuit filed by two Californians accusing the company of stealing their idea.

"I can't say much, because this is a legal matter. Except, I will say we are fully innocent, and that these guys are just looking for a quick score," Miller wrote on the Shacknews forums.

PS3 - Earth No More - 3D Realms Sued Over Earth No More Kris Graft of Next-Gen.biz writes: Two men who claim to have come up with the idea for the action title Earth No More are suing 3D Realms for allegedly stealing their idea. Next-Gen speaks with the plaintiffs' lawyer.

The plaintiffs are seeking damages under the US Copyright Act, which can include actual damages such as a disgorgement of profits from the game, statutory damages of up to $150,000 plus attorneys' fees and an injunction against the 3D Realms' distribution of the property.

The complaint calls 3D Realms' Earth No More "virtually identical in substance" to the plaintiffs' property.
