The annual Game Critics Award winners have finally been released, much to the elation and delight of the winners and the certain soul-crushing dismay of those who didn't quite take home the trophy. We would mention how surprised we are that Excite Truck managed to pull in best racing game honors or that Wii Sports has trumped publisher Electronic Arts' sports dynasties Madden and NCAA Football, as well as the NBA 2K series from 2K Sports - but given that Wii managed to pull in best of show, it

PlayStation 3 will be the only device you will need for gaming, watching movies, browsing the web and many other activities usually associated with PCs, according to the head of Sony's Worldwide Studios.
"Once you adopt a game system as your primary entertainment device, that's what you want," reckons Sony's Phil Harrison. "We think that PlayStation 3 is the place where our users will be doing a lot of other computer entertainment functions. That will satisfy them.
A new trailer of the Dirty Harry game for PS3 and Xbox 360 gives you a good look at the character model for the legendary cop.
Published by Warner Bros Interactive and developed by The Collective (who did the recent Da Vinci Code game ), Dirty Harry puts you in control of Clint Eastwood's borderline-psycho cop Harry Callahan as he polices the streets of San Francisco.
The game fits into the Dirty Harry timeline somewhere between the first and second films, but WB has so far been quite
We scored a few more enticing shots of the upcoming Frontlines: Fuel of War, currently being developed for all things next-gen - that is, the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. This shooter is a vehicle-based battle of the future that will decide who stands over the last petroleum reserves left in the world.
Although this is Kaos Studios' first release, Kaos is headed by Frank DeLise and several members of his old team at Trauma Studios. Trauma made the immensely popular Desert Combat mod for Battlefield
We've already given you a taste of the E3 Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots trailer. From Snake battling those crazy two-legged robots to the triumphant reemergence of pretty boy-turned-ninja badass Raiden, there's plenty to be excited about. But nothing can prepare you for seeing it yourself. So why bother talking about it anymore? If you click that movies tab up above, you can drink it all. And once you've seen it... maybe it's time to start saving up for that PS3,

The first PlayStation 3 consoles being manufactured are heading for Europe, according to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's president and CEO David Reeves.
In an interview with trade paper MCV, Reeves made clear that Sony is just as committed to supplying European gamers as it is to US and Japanese customers, so much so that he claimed that "the first PS3s being manufactured are being made for Europe – which is a first."
Reeves went on to discuss the number of units

Sony could well be planning an online service similar to Xbox Live Arcade for PlayStation 3, as one developer has confirmed that it is working on a game that will be available for download when PS3 launches in November.
Developer thatgamecompany has revealed that it's porting its free - and soothingly mellow - web game Flow and that it'll be available through a service that will offer PS3 gamers downloadable casual games.
This certainly seems to suggest that Sony will

A games accessory manufacturer has claimed that Sony could have built a rumble feature into the PlayStation 3 controller and that the reason it hasn't included one is actually down to legal - not technical - issues.
Technology company, Immersion, won a lawsuit against Sony in 2004 after it claimed the PlayStation maker had illegally used its 'haptic' technology in the PS2 DualShock pad, a decision that Sony is currently appealing against.
Immersion has since granted games
Square Enix could well be developing more games based on the Final Fantasy XIII universe beyond the three that were announced at the recent E3 games show.
The new additions are Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII for the PlayStation 3, and Final Fantasy Agito XIII for mobile. All three are part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series, which has been designed from the beginning to allow for different projects to exist in the same universe. More details on the FFXIII projects are
We got some curious footage of the Rayman development team apparently under siege by nefarious rabbits - or rather, "rabbids." We'd heard that Rayman Raving Rabbids was about bunnies wreaking havoc on the Rayman world, but we had no idea that they had escaped the development environment to harass real, flesh-and-blood people in France.
We've picked up a few new screens of these hateful hares in their "natural" digital environment (which Ubisoft has confirmed is Wii along with "current and
