In the blue corner we have The Greatest of All Time. In the red corn... screw it. We just can't bang the mega clichéd phrasing out. What we can do is tell you we'd back Chun Li's thighs of granite in any semi fair fight. That, and we can also inform you that you should vote for The Fighting Game of the Year at this month's Golden Joystick Awards. Full details inside.

Many people believe that football stars that are selected to grace the cover of EA's yearly Madden games are "cursed" once they appear on the game's box. Often, after showing up on the cover, players have their worst year yet, with many suffering injuries or simply failing to live up to their potential. So far, the last two fighters to show up on THQ's UFC games have suffered similar failings: the 2009 cover star, Forrest Griffin, lost his next fight to Anderson Silva in a fairly embarrassing showing. 2010's cover featured the massive, unstoppable Brock Lesnar, who... also was defeated soon after, being knocked out in the first round against Cain Velasquez.

And now, carrying a 34-3-0 record into the Octagon is the fan's pick for UFC Undisputed 3's cover: Anderson Silva...

THQ has released a party-sized haul of screens for the upcoming UFC Undisputed 3, and the game's attention to detail is apparent in every one of the new glimpses. Fighters drip sweat, bruise and bloody each others' pretty faces, and grimace at the receipt of a particularly palpable blow. Yes, that's real pain these digitized brawlers are feeling: this isn't professional wrestling, you know...

During a recent hands-on with THQ’s upcoming UFC Undisputed 3, the developers talked a little bit about how the game’s menus have been entirely redesigned. Instead of having the menu icons appear over generic wallpapers, this iteration of the fighting franchise will pan over different high-resolution pictures of fighters. While the game will, obviously, ship with a number of different backgrounds, THQ says that it plans to offer additional image packs after launch, which will be made available as downloadable content...

Fans of professional man-hugging and jaw-dislocating now have one more way to deal out the pain in THQ's upcoming UFC Undisputed 3. Today, the publisher announced it signed UFC heavyweight fighter Alistair Overeem to the game's roster just in time for his upcoming match against Brock Lesnar, but only for players who do a little legwork on Facebook...

Have a look at who you'll be meeting in the digital Octagon this winter with THQ's "epic" roster trailer for the upcoming UFC Undisputed 3...

Finishing the fight is an important part of the UFC's philosophy, and that's something THQ has taken to heart while developing UFC: Undisputed 3. It takes it so seriously, in fact, that it has turned the saying into an Achievement that highlights just how important it is...

Next week you'll be able to get your hands on an early demo for UFC Undisputed 3 for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, though THQ hasn't said anything else as to what we can expect to find when we boot it up...

Here's a video recently dug up by Capcom Unity, originally used to promote the PSP's Ultimate Ghosts 'n' Goblins release in Japan. It's still in Japanese, but you'll figure it out thanks to the recently added subtitles. Whereas many trailers will focus on the most action-packed moments in a character's business, this clip goes another way. It turns out that in the fifteen years between Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts and the reappearance of series hero Arthur the Brave Knight... not much happened. And if you think that's a boring time for players, just think how hard fictional characters have it out here in the dull-ass real world...

Looks like someone on Capcom's press site has made a huge mistake, as art has leaked revealing the 8 additional new characters scheduled for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. These 8, plus the ones announced earlier this morning, bring the total to 12. Capcom has since locked down the leaked images, but check out the complete list after the jump. Phoenix Wright fans, make sure you're sitting down.
