The Mistwalker boss told GameSpot: "I feel that the Final Fantasy series should come to Xbox 360 as well. This is wise. It makes so much sense to me... it has so much potential in North America and in Europe. So there's a great chance for the series to succeed on 360 as well."

Nintendo legend, Shigeru Miyamoto, played down the originality of Sony's newly-announced Home service for PlayStation 3, saying: "What they're doing already exists in one form on the PC."
Miyamoto went on to accentuate Nintendo's focus on originality. "Our focus is always to be different and do something that's different. That's why, even though, technically speaking, the Miis take advantage of the Internet, that isn't our main focus," he said.

The Wii game will, of course, boast motion control but, strangely, no multiplayer details have been announced for

This is all according to Gamasutra, who has published initial details of the event which takes place on October 18-20 in E3's former home the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Digital Extremes has released even more shots of its long-in-the-making sci-fi stealth-action game Dark Sector. The new shots demonstrate the deformed main character's bladed Frisbee of death and its tricks. As you can see the weapon can absorb fire by flying through flames and also be charged with electricity by being flung into wires, which will no-doubt provide some hilarious kills when it lands on the shelves later this year.

With the launch of Nintendos seemingly more ‘girl friendly DS and Wii, and gaming award ceremonys adding categories like Girls Choice Award, women picking up a joystick is apparently becoming more mainstream. But what is this obsession with women being a different gaming species?
