BioShock Infinite impressed the hell out of us at E3, even with our increasinly high expectations. One aspect of the game we find particularly exciting is the conflict happening around protagonist Booker DeWitt as he escorts Elizabeth off the soaring city of Columbia. Unlike the already ruined Rapture from BioShock, the civil war between Columbia’s leader and his rebel opponents is just getting warmed up. In the most recent behind-the-scenes vignette from Infinite’s developers, BioShock creator Ken Levine explains the beginnings to this battle, and how dire it’s become once the game begins...

  • We're a bit heavy on Gamescom news at the moment, so you'll forgive us if we haven't been writing up every press release sent to us by the Department of Really Good Ideas. However, some Really Good Ideas demand that one sets down one's trailer-watching goggles (professional gear only, you can't have any) and strap on a pair of applauding gloves. One person with such an idea is Peter Thiel, whose work you may have encountered if you've ever paid $1 for a Humble Indie Bundle or underbid on a mercifully-unattended eBay action. Thiel is the founder of Paypal, but his next big plan is more ambitious: seafaring micronations, free from the laws or morality of conventional countries. You see where this is going...

  • When cosplay is done right it can be awesome; but when it’s done perfectly, it can be damn near magical. That’s likely the best way to describe the BioShock cosplay that took place at Dragon*Con’s “Night at Georgia Aquarium” last week, where group of Irrational staff members took to the aquarium looking for BioShock cosplayers. Saying they “hit the jackpot” would be an understatement...

What does BioShock Infinite, The Bold and the Beautiful, and Naruto Shippuden have in common? This video, for starters. Join Irrational Games’ Ken Levine and voice actors Troy Baker and Courtnee Draper in this behind-the-scenes teaser for BioShock Infinite. You’ll get a bit of insight into what Ken Levine looks for in a voice actor and more on the art of bringing life to the upcoming title’s two main characters: Booker Dewitt and Elizabeth…

The last time we heard from BioShock Infinite voice actors Troy Baker and Courtnee Draper, they were chatting with series creator Ken Levine about the nuances of playing game's leading roles. In part two of Irrational Games' 'People Behind Booker and Elizabeth' video series, we find out how BioShock Infinite's dialogue came together from a mix of strong writing, insightful direction, and somewhat awkward recording sessions...

  • Depending on who you ask, the Occupy Wall Street movement is either a catalyst for change, or a major headache. We're not completely sure where BioShock creator Ken Levine falls, but in a recent interview with Reuters he did admit the 99% rallies have become a source of creative inspiration in the ongoing development of BioShock Infinite...

  • A new BioShock Infinite trailer is going to be unveiled at the Spike TV VGAs, and though we know absolutely nothing more than that, we do have a screenshot to both satiate our hunger for information, and to get us speculating...

  • If you're looking for a ton of new information for Irrational Games' BioShock Infinite, this trailer isn't going to give you any. If you're looking for some awesome new footage, however, step right up and prepare to get another glimpse into Columbia...

  • BioShock Infinite and Irrational Games boss Ken Levine has "barely thought about" Elizabeth's chest.

  • The script for BioShock Infinite may be bigger than the original thanks to Elizabeth and Booker being ever-present, but the game's writer Ken Levine's new approach is to say more with less. How? Like this...
