We think you'll agree, the latest in Rockstar's underground street racing series is shaping up quite nicely. We've already got up close to the game and initial signs were all good. These new screens will give you a taste of what all the fuss is

Oh PS3, you really must work on this tardiness. Youre a strong student with a lot of brains, and you can produce good work when you put your mind to it, but with this persistent lateness youre not only letting us down, but youre letting yourself down too. We know youve only just joined us and that youve had to take some time to settle in, but youre really going to have to start applying yourself from now on.
Nagging teacher-speak aside, just what is it with PS3 release

Konami producer Ryan Payton has hinted that one of the two yet-to-be-revealed locations in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be a place "you've been waiting to visit for 20 years".
By our reckoning (and Wikipedia's records) this makes it terribly likely that Snake adventures will come full circle, bringing him back to the South African mercenary fortress Outer Heaven that he infiltrated in the very first Metal Gear game. Which was released in 1987, exactly two decades

Ask any seasoned stick-twiddler to name a genuinely original game from the last five years and chances are that the first name that pops into their head is Namco's brilliant Katamari Damacy. Based on the fairly out-there premise of rebuilding the cosmos by rolling around a magical sticky ball, Katamari wooed gamers not just for its innovative core gameplay mechanic, but also its irresistible characters and bonkers style. We fell in love the moment we first saw the intro, which, if

Just when you thought the PS3 was on the verge of getting hold of that triple A title it needs so much, that triple A title gets delayed.
Back in September at the Tokyo Game Show, Konami said the game would hit "this winter". That's now been changed to "second quarter of 2008" at the earliest.
The official statement from Konami Japan reads:
Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots Release Update October 31, 2007

If you don't subscribe to Konami's KP Report - Kojima's very own MGS4-concerned podcast - then you may have missed out on a nugget of knowledge recently revealed on the audio broadcast. Namely, that MGS4 won't be limited to the Middle Eastern battlefield we've seen in all the footage, but instead will take in South America and "other places", too.
Rumour has it that Eastern Europe will also play host to Snake's adventures. Interestingly, though, you've probably already seen the

Back in September we brought you the disappointing news that Pandemics open world destruction game, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames had been delayed until 2008, but, as the developer points out in its latest web blog, the extra time will allow it to make the game into something that will be "awesome forever".
Pandemic will also use the extra few months to flesh out the multiplayer and polish everything off, ensuring World in Flames will be perfect when it finally hits PC, PS3,

Sony has been hard at work (or hitting the bong hard) creating two new tripped out PlayStation Eye diversions that will soon be enlightening PlayStation Store with, like, a totally cosmic groove. Tori Emaki and the aptly named Mesmerize both utilise PS Eye in different ways, although both are focused on creating a very mellow experience that's sure to increase the peace in any household.
Using an art style reminiscent of the beautiful Okami, Tori Emaki allows the

Midway has reaffirmed plans to deliver a "next generation" version of long-running series Mortal Kombat in a recent financial report.
Currently the company's not shedding any further light, but Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon revealed that the title will be built from the ground up when we spoke with him earlier in the year.
"The only thing I can say at the moment is we are going to do a reset, we're going to throw everything from the previous Mortal Kombats, we're going to start
