  • Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has been met with some trepidation by fans of the survival horror. Not only is it a departure from the survival horror experience (it's a team-based shooter), it also takes liberties with the series' plot, even offering you the chance to off Leon Kennedy, star of Resident Evils 2 and 4. But none of that will matter so much if the game plays like a beauty. So here it is in action. Too frantic? More videos inside...

  • The debut trailer for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has debuted. The upcoming squad-based RE entry was announced in the latest issue of OXM, as well as other mags, and puts you on the side of either a government Special Ops team or the Umbrella Security Services (lots more details in our first article!). See it for yourself in the trailer... though aside from the cameo at the end, the most notable take-away from it may be "BIG LOGO GETS SMALLER."

  • Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is real and the first gameplay details have emerged from various sources on the internet. Developer Slant Six cut its teeth on SOCOM: Navy SEALS games for PS3 and PSP, so it's little surprise that the game is a squad-based shooter - quite a departure for the series. • Remember when we said that Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City would be getting an early 2012 beta? Well, you see, here's the thing. We, um... because they, um... well, you see...

Yeah, it won't be getting one. Capcom has come out and confirmed that, despite rumors stating that there would be, there's not going to be a beta after all...

  • A regular gaming voice-actor may have inadvertently confirmed that Capcom is working on Resident Evil 6 via the tried-and-tested means of the premature resume entry. Joe Cappelletti, whose work as “various voices” you may've heard in anything from Modern Warfare 3 to Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, had a role in the title listed on his website until earlier today. But Siliconera wisely snapped a pic of the listing, incriminatory numbering and all...

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City tells the story of Umbrella's destruction of Resident Evil 2's the famous town from another (more evil) perspective. Though it already promised online co-op, the just revealed Heroes mode mixes things up by including some familiar faces...
