Internet detectives (the most inventive and unscrupulous kind!) have come up with compelling evidence that the lead actor for Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V is none other than Hollywood's Ned Luke. You know Ned Luke: he was that guest star on that TV series you watched that one episode of when nothing else was on. Okay, fine, maybe you haven't heard of him, but Twitter has – and it's pretty sure he's the protagonist and narrator from the GTA V teaser...

Tecmo Koei was one of several third parties showing early support for Nintendo’s next piece of hardware, Wii U. Ninja Gaiden 3 was one of the first non-Nintendo games shown for the system and now we know it’ll be some of the first games on sale for it too. The publisher confirmed Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge will launch with the hardware, along with revealing the planned month of release for the other versions as well...

Japan doesn't get Saints Row: The Third until a couple of days after the game's American release, but testy authorities have already ordered one prominent cut to the game's weaponry, neutering the game's Penetrator. If that name conjures images of an outsized, weaponized phallus, you're bang on the money – except in Japan, where developers have been forced to make the weapon a little bit more SFW.

Which, by the way, the next image probably ain't, so if you're at work you might not want to read the rest of this decidedly NSFW post...

Shocking absolutely no one, Activision has revealed their recently released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 sold really, really well. It broke records and made Activision a lot of money, and a lot of people are playing it on the internet...

You may have missed this, but basically every single game that matters is launching this month. And we’ve given out so many glowing reviews, we don’t blame you for wanting to jump in a midnight launch line immediately. But wait! You’re obviously forgetting the magical 24-hour period known as Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving when everything is on sale and people are trampled for a $99 HD TV. Today Best Buy’s Black Friday ad has leaked weeks ahead of time and includes some crazy deals that might cause you to delay some purchases.

Updated with new information.

GameStop has posted the details on the Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition on the retailer's website, showing off the high-end bundle for die-hard Mass Effect fans looking to see the series off in style. For $79.99 (relatively cheap when compared to other Collector's Edition bundles), gamers will get a soundtrack, an exclusive mission, a new character, and a bunch of other bonuses...

Dancing in the streets of the world's major cities ensued today as Ubisoft announced it would be forgoing always-on DRM for this year's Assassin's Creed Revelations. The developer has announced it won't require users to retain a constant Internet connection under threat of being booted even from the single-player game, as had earlier been threatened; instead, players will perform a one-time activation upon starting the game...

A New Zealand retailer may have unveiled the projected release date for Sony's God of War IV. While no official announcement's been made regarding the further adventures of Sony's impossibly angry spokesdeity, webstore Mighty Ape lists the title for pre-order with an “estimated date” of September 2012, even displaying a fan mockup flaming-swords logo for the game. Yep, if (or when) GoW IV comes out, that's probably something that'll be in the game...

Sometimes sales news can be happily predictable, like Uncharted 3's sales. Some hurt our hearts, like Shadows of the Damned selling like crap or Just Dance 2's huge sales. But some just brighten our days, even when it involves an especially melancholy title like Limbo. Today the creators of Limbo revealed the enigmatic indie game has sold over a million copies to date, a number that will hopefully continue to grow when it comes out for the Mac.

Ezio has been the star of Assassin’s Creed for the last three years, and within the game’s story, he’s been killing Templars for three decades. For better or worse that’s got to come to an end eventually, and it looks like Ezio is about to ride off into that Renaissance era sunset, but not before he gets some answer. The launch trailer for Assassin’s Creed Revelations gives you some insight into Ezio’s search for some sort of truth during his advancing years, all while he artfully murders dozens of people we’re assuming are jerks...
