  • Yep, that's the word from Lord Clifford of Bleszinskishire. Gears of War 3 will include special unlockable content if you've played other Epic games. No word on what yet, or exactly how it'll work, but it'll most likely be a case of Gears 3 opening up little game-specific presents when it finds the right save files on your hard drive. Like Psycho Mantis, only with less levitating gimps. Either way, Cliff has given a few titles as examples.

  • Above: Thanks to the internet, game designers and deodorant spokespersons can finally have an open dialogue

The Old Spice model has just posted a video response to a tweet from Gears of War designer Cliff Bleszinski – and it’s really funny. That is all.

  • Looks like a whole new crop of Rockstar's PS2 classics could be headed to the PlayStation Store soon...

  • Here come the karma police! Infamous anti-videogame attorney Jack Thompson, who was once ordered to get a mental check, has been recommended guilty for 27 of 31 misconduct charges, by Florida judge Dava Tunis.

The following collection of violent, titillating titles have offended censors all over the world. Some have been beaten to death by the banning bat for their gory deaths, others for displaying acts of girl-on-girl action, while one was even banned for having a two-headed cow. Really, just what is this

"Pipeline includes: Guitar Hero IV, Call of Duty 5, James Bond, new Tony Hawk, new DreamWorks titles, new Marvel titles and entry into racing with Bizarre", it says. Just in case the news has somehow passed you by, Activision and Vivendi recently merged to form Activision Blizzard. The shock announcement on the merger was made on
  • 3rd Dec, 2007 The industry is still shaking from the earthquake announcement of Vivendi and Activision's merger today, but gamers themselves are going to have a lot of questions too. Both companies hold their fair share of much-loved franchises, several of which have extremely radid fanbases, so worry is going to be high as to what the deal is really going to mean. It seems accepted human 'wisdom' that any change is a change for the worse, and in gaming any alteration in the corporate status
  • 20th Dec, 2007 Gaming is an up and down experience. Some years cram top quality titles into our every orifice until were bursting with videogame joy and have excess polygons dripping messily out of our ears, while some other years… Well, some other years are 1983. In 2007 though, weve had a very good year indeed. A scarily good year in fact. One which has provided us so much brilliance on every format that its a genuine worry that the laws of karmic balance will soon bring us a plague
