One constant complaint from fans of the long-running SmackDown! franchise has been that the wrestlers control the same for the most part. Oh sure, specific wrestlers have been tweaked annually to reflect their real-life counterpart and weight class, but now you can choose primary and secondary fighting styles, forever changing the way you play WWEs pinnacle sim.
We just got a hold of all primary and secondary from the WWE fanatics at THQ so you can start planning your future

"Port's a bad word," complains Sony Studio Liverpool's game director Tony Buckley. And, after spending some quality time with Wipeout HD, we think he has a point. In gaming parlance 'port' is a dirty word, often prefixed with the words 'sloppy' or 'lazy' and evoking images of a loveless, slap-dash development. However, this is something that, as Buckley points out, his game can't be accused of: "Wipeout HD is not just a port because the amount of effort that's gone into it is

As well as discussing the chances of a new Rogue Squadron game when we sat down with Factor 5's president Julian Eggebrecht recently, we also chewed over the pros and cons of motion-control. To our surprise, the Lair dev was happy to say that he thought Warhawk's implementation of pad-tilting magic left a little to be desired.
"Warhawk's controls are... eurgh!," Eggebrecht told us with a shudder. He explained that while motion-sensing felt the perfect way to convey the feeling

Sony's Studio Liverpool has revealed to GamesRadar the eight racing teams that will appear in WipEout HD when the game is released via the PlayStation Store later this year. They are:
• AG Systems
• Goteki 45
With the exception of EG-X (which is new to the upcoming PSP title, WipEout Pulse), fans of the series will be familiar with all the featured teams. It's also highly likely that

If you've played a fair bit of the earlier WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW games, you'd know that nothing's more satisfying than clocking your opponent over the head with a chair, pounding his face in with a sledgehammer or chucking his lifeless ass through a table. Sure, you could fight a (*yawn*) fair fight, but using items from a hardware store to get the win appeals to your inner extremist.
Recognizing how awesome hardcore wrestling is, WWE SmackDown 08 features the brand-new ECW

Though traditional tabletop games have been losing ground to videogames for years, the hot new thing at this year's GenCon Indy appeared to be mash-ups that merged the best of both worlds to create the gaming equivalent of Frankensteins monster - though more friendly and less likely to lug away your girlfriend. Along with these hybrid creations, the usual MMO suspects were out in force along with a few other intriguing stragglers that we discovered.

So, as you might know, Warhawk is due to land in downloadable form on PlayStation Network next Tuesday 28 August for £19.99. Right? Wrong! In fact, it'll be a whopping 48 hours late, only shipping out onto PS3's online service during Thursday 30 August.
Here's what Sony has to say for itself:
"We have just received information that the next PS Store update, which will contain Warhawk, will be Thursday 30th August and not Tuesday 28th August as previously announced. As you

Lara Croft's adventuring crown is under threat, but her rival isn't just another run-of-the-mill female explorer. The new contender for most pneumatic videogame mistress is Rubi, and shes not content with merely pegging it around dingy caves. This girl gets her kicks on the streets.
Taking up the leading role in Wet, Sierra's newest third person adventure title, Rubi looks like she has been watching Miss Croft very closely and developing up some of her own little tricks along the

At a WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2008 event held in London last week, THQ's vice president of product development, Keith Kirby, revealed that gamers could look forward to a lot more WWE offerings in the future, providing dedicated lovers of the wrestling with more besides the annual update of its flagship series.
Although carefully cagey about details, Kirby told GamesRadar that he had recently been in New York for a meeting, the purpose of which was to "talk about all sorts of new and

It's one of those hopes/dreams/rumours that refuses to lay down and die - will Blizzard's phenomenally successful MMO World of Warcraft hit the Xbox 360 and/or PS3?
It's a question that's been raised with the developer on numerous occasions previously, only to see Blizzard say nope, no console plans for WoW. And the company has re-iterated such in response to a post on the official forums questioning the arrival of the game on PS3.
Blizzard's response? "We're madly in love with
