The British Academy Video Games Awards
organizers have published their picks for this year's BAFTA GAME
Audience Award nominees, and you may be surprised to see which games
made the final cut. Or you may be completely unsurprised. Who knows?
Either way, BAFTA is putting a sweet prize for everyone who votes on
Game soundtracks should not be underestimated. Not only do they make games more pleasurable for the ears, but a quality musical score can elevate the entire game experience to something extra special with goosebumps. The following 10 games are all nominated in the Soundtrack of the Year category for this year's Golden Joystick Awards. Only one of them can win.
For two years now we’ve thrown health, sleep and sobriety to the wind in order to bring you GamesRadar’s 24 Hour Marathon! If you’ve missed out on the shenanigans thus far, the point of this video is to make you feel horrible about it. With the exception of StarCraft II, I sacrificed my hard drive to record everyone playing everything with me! Watch dozens of readers intentionally doing the stupidest shit imaginable in Halo 3, Red Dead Redemption, Gears of War 2, BioShock 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Blur, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Modern Warfare 2, Super Street Fighter IV, Uncharted 2. Of all the crap I've done here, this video is the thing I'm most proud of...
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was the big
winner at last night's Interactive Achievement Awards (IAAs) in Las
Vegas, scoring a total of five top honors including the coveted Game

and Super Mario 3D Land were also shown some industry love...
Sony's annual E3 press conference opened with what could have been the biggest reveal of the entire show if it hadn't been leaked last week: the new $499 price of the PS3, as well as the introduction of a new $599 model that comes with an 80GB hard drive and a copy of online-enabled dirt racer Motorstorm. Gaming is an up and down experience. Some years cram top quality titles into our every orifice until were bursting with videogame joy and have excess polygons dripping messily out of our ears, while some other years… Well, some other years are 1983.
In 2007 though, weve had a very good year indeed. A scarily good year in fact. One which has provided us so much brilliance on every format that its a genuine worry that the laws of karmic balance will soon bring us a plague

Oh PS3, you really must work on this tardiness. Youre a strong student with a lot of brains, and you can produce good work when you put your mind to it, but with this persistent lateness youre not only letting us down, but youre letting yourself down too. We know youve only just joined us and that youve had to take some time to settle in, but youre really going to have to start applying yourself from now on.
Nagging teacher-speak aside, just what is it with PS3 release
