PS3 - NBA Street Homecourt - Gamer Buzz: Street Ball is Dead Joystiq via ESPN writes: "Electronic Arts and Midway have shelved their competing arcade-style basketball franchises, as ESPN reports that both NBA Street and NBA Ballers have been benched.

Regarding NBA Street, EA Sports boss Peter Moore explains to ESPN that the division is reevaluating its mixture of licensed and original IP, adding that "we need to develop some new things." But don't go expecting anything particularly edgy to come out of this moment of clarity. "If Wii Sports has taught us anything," adds Moore, "it's that people will sit there and play big head tennis all day long. We need to be able to tap into that audience.'"

PS3 - NBA Street Homecourt - Xbox 360 slams Playstation 3 again? In the March 2007 issue of Game Informer Magazine "NBA Street Homecourt" was recently reviewed. As expected the game had scored a solid 8.75. However, something unexpected was that the game looked the best on the Xbox 360 as opposed to the Playstation 3.

Quoted: "I'd give the nod to the 360 in terms of visuals, but either way this game features great texturing, character models and jaw-droppingly smooth animations."

PS3 - NBA Street Homecourt - NBA STREET 4 Named Electronic Arts announced today that NBA STREET Homecourt will be the name of the newest iteration of the critically acclaimed and culturally defining streetball videogame franchise. The 4th chapter of the multi-platinum franchise expands on the fast-paced and larger-than-life 3-on-3 basketball gameplay that has made the franchise a hit. The game is in development in Vancouver, B.C. by EA Canada under the EA SPORTS BIG brand.
