CyberConnect2, the creative minds behind the PS3 exclusive Naruto game and the .hack series, have just launched a 7 day countdown on their homepage. The countdown will most likely lead to the announcement of a new title.

Earlier, CC2 announced they were working on a game for 2009, completely original from their licensed anime games. PS3Center speculated it could be a possible PS3 exclusive, as the company has only produced games for the PlayStation consoles in the past.

Namco Bandai Games America today announced a pre-order program for Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm at GameStop, EB Games and GameCrazy retail locations across North America. Gamers that pre-order the game at GameStop or EB Games stores or www.gamestop.com will receive a download card giving them access to The First Hokage support character and a new single-player mission, while those that pre-order at GameCrazy stores will receive download access to The Second Hokage support character and a different single-player mission. From GAMER.tm: "Sixaxis tilt control is "useless," according to the producer of forthcoming PS3 Naruto exclusive, Ultimate Ninja Storm.

"Speaking to GAMER at last week's Games Convention, producer Hitoshi Matsuyama confirmed that Ultimate Ninja Storm won't support Trophies, before nonchalantly dismissing Sony's motion sensing control system.

"We're not supporting Trophies," Matsuyama said through his translator.

"And before you ask, we're not supporting Sixaxis. It's useless," he added.

"He then proceeded to wave the controller about in a jocular manner, to highlight the unsuitability of motion sensing control for the game."
