TheSixthAxis writes: "Unsubstantiated rumours are the foundation stones of many a site. Not us though. Uh-uh, no way, not never. So, we present a fully substantiated rumour. And by substantiated we mean someone told us of a link and we clicked on it and the link worked. And that's as far as we're going."
MotorStorm: Pacific Rift is moving from the rugged desert to a lush Pacific island with all of the vehicles familiar of the first game (ATVs, rally cars, buggies, motorbikes, race trucks, etc.), while adding a new monster truck class. Evolution studios revealed the game is nearing completion as they have just submitted the gold master candidate to testers, to give testers one last hammering.
ButtonMasher writes: A new trailer showcasing the carnage and demolition action present in MotorStorm Pacific Rift has been released, I thought it was just the run of the mill stuff until 1:01, when a behemoth dumptruck appears.
Speaking with PSU.com, Evolution Studios game director Nigel Kershaw has revealed that MotorStorm Pacific Rift will feature a total of 50 Trophies for the player to unlock via a "wide-range of different challenges."

Stallone1993 here giving you my impressions on the demo of MotorStorm: Pacific Rift. Please note that the build that was playable in the QORE issue 4, was a build from E3 08. IGN has a new build and posted screenshots, and you can see it is a lot better. Why had they selected an old build for the QORE issue? I don't really know, but it still looks very good at the old stage - it just gets better in the newer build is all I am trying to say. Anyways, check out my impressions in the full article.
Looks like Motorstorm: Pacific Rift's pre-release demo isn't strictly limited to the Qore subscribing elite. We've heard from many a tipster that Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has been sending out invites for the demo version of the Motorstorm sequel, freeing it from its shackles as a strictly pay-to-play demo.
PS3-Sense writes "The invites for the Motorstorm: Pacific Rift demo are just sent out by Sony. The mails that have been sent out contain a code wich allows you to play the demo of the game. Qore Episode 4 buyers also can download the demo from now on."

HDR has posted up a high-res image for the final US box art for MotorStorm Pacific Rift.
The demo for MotorStorm: Pacific Rift will be available for players who purchased the latest issue of Qore, and randomly selected European PSN users starting tomorrow (on the weekly Playstation Store update).
PS3Fanboy had a chance to check in with MotorStorm: Pacific Rift once again. An "80% complete" demo we played gave us access to four different levels: two single player and two split-screen races. Easily the most impressive level we played had to be the Wildfire level. This level takes everything that's good about MotorStorm and amplifies it to the extreme. Pacific Rift's play on hot versus cold goes into full effect here, in this dark volcanic level. It's unlike anything we've seen from the game so far, and it's a terrific contrast to the usual lush greens of the game.
D+PAD: Following on from last month's rumour that Old Snake may be featuring in Sony's 'brutal offroad racer' MotorStorm Pacific Rift, we've spotted another character in the latest MotorStorm trailer that looks like a certain devil slayer.
