MotorStorm Pacific Rift crashes into stores today, and if you early adopters think you're going to be cleaning up online - be warned: the athletes on the Dew Action Sports Tour have been practicing. Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. (SCEA) announced today the North American release of MotorStorm Pacific Rift exclusively for PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3). Developed by Evolution Studios, MotorStorm Pacific Rift combines amazing visuals and intense driving action to deliver an extreme and visceral off-road experience that will leave players on the edge of their seats.
wothplaying.com: "MotorStorm: Pacific Rift is moving from the rugged desert to a lush Pacific island with all of the vehicles familiar of the first game (ATVs, rally cars, buggies, motorbikes, race trucks, etc.), while adding a new monster truck class. Without giving details, Evolution Studios revealed that it will try to release DLCs every week, mostly free, as well as some expansion packs later on."

PS3 Fanboy writes: "Big smiles on both sides of the Atlantic this week. America gets three big games in the form of LittleBigPlanet, MotorStorm PR and Fallout 3. Europe may not be getting their hands on LittleBigPlanet until next week, but at least they've got Fallout 3, Quantum of Solace and Valkyria Chronicles to tide them over which, from what we've seen, look to all be excellent titles." Here's the full release list:

PS3 Fanboy reports: Want a sneaky peek at some of MotorStorm Pacific Rift's tracks? This montage video shows what you can expect from the "Earth Zone" levels in the game. These make up only a quarter of the game's tracks, so no doubt we'll be seeing videos showcasing the Water, Fire and Air zones before the game releases on October 28th (November 14th in Europe). In the meantime, check out Kanaloa Bay, Mudslide, Sugar Rush and Razorback in the video above.

Yep, we just got hold of the trophy list for MotorStorm: Pacific Rift thanks to www.ps3trophies.co.uk! List below.
PS Blog: And it's also about pitting a variety of these machines against each other. From the very start of the first MotorStorm game we knew we wanted to build something where a bike can share a race track with trucks, ATVs and big rigs. MotorStorm is like some latter day automotive cola advert, we're a model of diversity and harmony, with all shapes, sizes, colour, ability and looks (scratch that analogy, you never see ugly folk in a cola advert). Pacific Rift has all kinds of vehicles, which ultimately boils down to eight distinct vehicle classes.
Sony has revealed the full track list for MotorStorm Pacific Rift. The 16 levels are split between four zones, each based on an element. In the Air Zone you'll find lots of jumps, cliffs and downhill sections while the Earth Zone is a little more down to earth (get it?), with plenty of plants and undergrowth which can get in your way, hide obstacles and, apparently, fight back. In the Fire Zone you'll be faced with lava pits, volcanoes and rocky wastelands and, finally, in the Water Zone you'll find the island's coast, huge waterfalls and rivers. For a description of each of the 16 tracks, check the link for more deatails on the press release.
