Gamzsone V3: "According to a listing I stumbled upon while on the HMV website, Mirrors Edge is to be given an 18 by the BBFC. And while the rating is to be confirmed (as stated by the TBC on the PS3 boxart of the game), it also puts the game down for October 24th."
Owen O'Brien, Sr. Producer for Mirror's Edge and DICE sat down with X-Play to talk about the game. He explains the game is full of many things: "It's got puzzle sections, chase sections, combat sections, both armed and unarmed."
Although they have an in-house engine for the Battlefield series (Frostbite), EA DICE has gone with Epic's mega-popular Unreal Engine 3 for the Parkour-inspired Mirror's Edge. According to the development team (via Electronic Arts PR), the reason was that the Mirror's Edge project began early on in Frostbite's development, so they decided to use the more-developed Unreal technology instead.
EA has confirmed to VideoGamer.com that upcoming parkour-inspired first-person game Mirror's Edge is still coming out on Xbox 360 and PC, despite a report today on the UK-based semi-official blog ThreeSpeech that claimed it was PS3-exclusive.

VG247 saw Mirror's Edge, the DICE-developed first-person free-running game, at GDC last week. According to the report, it was one of the most impressive games at the show.
The latest issue of Edge has the scoop on DICE's upcoming first-person action...jumping...thing, Mirror's Edge. First up, it's not a shooter. Instead, influenced heavily by parkour, they're calling it a first-person action adventure. Huge levels will allow you the same kind of free-form exploration and athletic tomfoolery as a game like Tony Hawks or even Crackdown, but with much finer control. Don't think the lumbering cops of Crackdown, think Prince of Persia.
The fine folks at DICE have wowed us with Battlefield, their uniquely appealing multiplayer action franchise. But now the Stockholm-based developer is turning their attention to the action adventure genre. Confirmed today by Electronic Arts, the "revolutionary new take on the first person action adventure category" Mirror's Edge is due out in 2008 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
