Kojima Productions will resume transmissions of its Metal Gear Solid Integral podcast to MGS4's in-game iPod beginning next month. The first post-hiatus episode will appear on the game's downloadable content menu January 8, and new episodes will debut every two weeks thereafter.

The podcast will be hosted by MGS4 producer, Ken Imaizumi, sans his long-time podcasting partner – and MGS4 assistant producer – Ryan Payton, who left Kojima Productions in August to work on the Halo franchise at Microsoft. Imaizumi will be joined by Kojima Productions Report podcast regular, Aki Saito, and MGS4 script unit member Sean Eyestone.

What a difference a year makes. 12 months ago, the contenders for Game of the Year could be counted on one hand. This year, you'd be hard-pressed to whittle the list down to candidates that would fit on all of one's fingers and toes. Crowded though it may be, one game delivered on a level that blew everyone here at IGN away. Hideo Kojima's final (No, really, this time! Maybe...) Metal Gear Solid managed to tie almost every plot point together, piled on the cinematic flair and played more accessibly than any previous game in the series. In short, it was awesome, and simply must be experienced.

Cnet: Not only are there some really good deals on game consoles this holiday season, but also on games. Starting December 7, Best Buy is cutting prices for one week on some popular titles for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, making all the serious gamers holiday dreams come true.

This is only on selected titles, for both consoles:

Xbox 360: Tom Clancy's EndWar for $39.99, Civil War for $29.99, Legendary for 39.99, and Far Cry 2 for $39.99.

PlayStation 3: Konami Corp's Metal Gear Solid 4 for $39.99, Dangerous Hunts for $29.99, and The Simpsons game for $9.99

Online giant Amazon.com is making console bundle choices a tad more complicated with deals on the PlayStation 3. With that and the recent price drop of the Xbox 360, this should make for some hard holiday decisions.

A bundle known as the "high-definition promotion" gives the consumer $50 off the PlayStation 3, game, Blu-ray disc, and a remote.

"Weekly Famitsu had a short feature celebrating PS3's 2nd anniversary (they put it as "PS3's 730 days in Japan") in issue 12/12 detailing the console's journey so far in Japan.

Besides looking back at some of the major events during the two years, the mag also asked some industry experts on their view about PS3's future. Some of them think Ad-Hoc Party, the new service that allows PSP games with local communication play functionality to be able to go online, will spurs PS3 sales. Others hope 45nm Chips can be introduced faster so we can have slimmer PS3.

As always, some sales data were shared. According to Enterbrain's data, 2,469,448 units of Sony's struggling console have been sold as at Nov 16 and below are the five best selling software on the system since its launch (also as at Nov 16)."

PS3Fanboy: The results are in, and the annual 2008 PlayStation Awards out of Japan is now a wrap. The handing out of awards commemorates successful titles over the past year. It highlights the best of the best and honors titles that have sold more than 500,000 units with a Gold Award, and those which sold over a million with a Platinum Award.
