June 26, 2008 - With Metal Gear Solid 4 confirmed at half a million sales in Japan and one million in Europe, the big question is, just how many copies has the game sold overall. While we don't have sales figures just yet, we do know the game's shipped number: three million.
The PS3 exclusive title Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots remains on top in Australia for the second week in a row. Grand Theft Auto IV also remains more popular on the Playstation 3, with the Xbox 360 version selling less copies again.
VG247: Konami's announced that there's going to be Tokyo dates in the Kojima World Tour added for this weekend, June 28 and 29.
Sony officially announced that they would be shipping more of these bundles early July but one store seems to already of had more shipments.

The recent buzz in the industry is that the upcoming Metal Gear movie is going to star Christian Bale but grapevine suggest otherwise for they say this movie is planning out to be fully computer generated with live voice actors and is presumably going to be a remake of the very first Metal Gear released on the MSX, which introduces Solid Snake as the main protagonist for the long running series.
Yesterday, as we all know David Hayter asked us to email Sony Pictures regarding the movie, so that Kojima and him can work closely on the movie, instead of some random guy ( like resident evil writer).

MCV: High-brow newspaper New York Times has dedicated an extensive feature to hidden meanings in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of the Patriots.
Free London newspaper Metro has given critically acclaimed PS3 exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4 a paltry three stars out of five, slamming the "utterly overblown" plot and gameplay that "somehow manages to be both rubbish and exceptional at the same time".
Although few things are official regarding the Metal Gear Solid movie, it appears Christian Bale may play Solid Snake in the upcoming big screen adaptation of the game.
