The following problems have been fixed

When a host leaves a game, the position of host is automatically forwarded to someone else. When someone else filled the free 16th slot, the player would be invisible to the new host.

The game would sometimes freeze if a player would invite a Clan Member while in Survival mode.

The day of the week of "Match Time" was not correctly displayed when viewing the rules in the Survival Lobby.

The following game specifications have been changed:
The motion of reloading the shotgun cannot be canceled by equipping a box or changing weapons.

Change of weapon specification:
Saiga 12's cost changed from 8000DP to 5000DP.
G3A3's cost changed from 5000DP to 4000DP.

Change of skill specification:
"NARC" Lv2's cost from 1 to 2
"NARC" Lv3's cost from 1 to 3
*With this change, all skills will be temporarily removed, but players will be able to put them on again with the existing skill points

Starting 7/17 in Japan, there will be a new expansion pack available for download for Metal Gear Online.

The pack will be 1200 yen (or a 1500 yen pack which will give you one new character slot), and it will include:

- Johnny and Meryl will be added.
- Now able to make Female Characters.
- 3 new stages including Shadow Moses, Mei Ling's Ship, and MGS1 Heliport.
- Official Survival Mode added.

Also starting 7/4, two new rules will be added:

-Team Scanning (Teams will split into Sneaking and Defending, Sneaking team will be able to use Stealth ability)
-Head-shot Only Kills (Optional Rule)

The recent buzz in the industry is that the upcoming Metal Gear movie is going to star Christian Bale but grapevine suggest otherwise for they say this movie is planning out to be fully computer generated with live voice actors and is presumably going to be a remake of the very first Metal Gear released on the MSX, which introduces Solid Snake as the main protagonist for the long running series.

"What about that Metal Gear Solid movie? Before the presser started, I talked to Konami's Aki Saito, who is handling the film negotiations. According to him, the contract is still being worked out. Kojima will not be directing. However, he will be acting as a producer. Says Saito:

'Hollywood has great respect for Mr. Kojima. They want to meet with him. Kojima will be acting as a producer, but we don't know how involved he'll be as a producer. Often Hollywood adaptations have the original game creator involved at the beginning, but somewhere along the line they fall out of view. This is why it's very important for us to carefully pick the studio for this project.'

The Metal Gear Online beta has been updated. The new map is called Midtown Maelstrom and is Mercenaries versus Snake. If there are over 12 players on the server, one of them becomes Snake's MKII and can roll around picking up dog tags. The player who is Snake is equipped with an M4 Custom, magazines, scanning stick, drumcan, cardboard box, Octo Camouflage, Solid Eye and is of coursed voiced by David Hayter. The update is not available for America.

The most frustrating thing about the Metal Gear Online beta hasn't been the broken beta keys, the huge patch and client download or even the delay. It's trying to get a Konami ID from a website that simply refuses to work. Thankfully, that's in the past. Konami has retooled the ID registration website to be much more streamline and, as a result, much faster for all involved.

Ok, fair enough, problem is, the D@^^ SERVER CRASHED. As many of us may know the Japanese Metal Gear Online Beta premier is upon us. From a tutorial that surfaced on how to go about obtaining a Konami ID as well as a MGO Beta Key code. Due to the accumulative Sign ups from different regions from this tutorial. Konami has blocked any IP that does not originate from Japan. From the original source of the article users are claiming getting an "error page" that states "This product code issue page is service for Japan only." This is by all mean no error. Even if you "fake" your IP address by other means, there still the possibility Konami will block all outside IP not from Japan.

This type of action is not unheard of since Capcom has done it with Monster Hunter Frontier for the PC and Bandai/Namco for Gundam MMO(Which was shut down.) These titles are/were only available for the Japanese market. If you were successful in obtaining a Japanese Beta key code for MGO don't consider yourself lucky just yet. As the schedule date for the Japanese beta download is approaching. That key code might not be valid or become blocked since you're IP address is not a Japanese one. Al tho some people who successfully singed up for Capcom's Monster Hunter Frontier (PC) are still playing to this day and some of the users are not in Japan. So give or take its not 100% guaranteed that you will be blocked or not.

The latest update to the growing lineup of games in the Japanese Game Archive service could be the biggest yet just because of one title: Metal Gear Solid.

Sony Japan announced today the next batch of titles for the service, and the original PlayStation entry in Hideo Kojima's mega series is the headliner. Joining it are Crash Bandicoot Carnival, Atelier Erie Zarlburg Alchemist 2, Pro Mahjong Goku Plus II, Master of Monsters, and Desiemon Kids.

All titles are 600 yen and are playable on both the PlayStation 3 and PSP.
