A classic, old-school Mega Man through and through, from the obscenely hard but ultimately rewarding difficulty to the infectious 8-bit tunes. For old-school gamers sick of rechargeable health meters and forgiving checkpoints, this is the kind of game you remember and love. As for the newbies out there, stick through the constant game over screens and you'll find a game that's about rock-solid gameplay more than next-gen technical wizardry.

If you weren’t around for Mega Man’s heyday (waaaay back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, around 1990), all this commotion about an archaic, unsophisticated platformer may make about as much sense as the robot elephants that populate Concrete Man’s level. The rumors (and scans) are true - Capcom's officially making Mega Man 9 for WiiWare. It's been 11 years since the last numbered entry, and for fans tired of the numerous spin-offs, 9 is an ironically refreshing take on gaming's favorite robot assassin.
