Medal of Honor

Medal of Honor's campaign is well-scripted and well-acted, and parts of it are superbly nerve-racking, but its uninventive missions and premature ending left us wanting. The multiplayer, however, is a different game. No, it's actually a different game, and it's what DICE does best. If you've tired of CoD, Medal of Honor might be just the medicine you need.

AWESOME! A NEW MOH! YES! Although I should've known that EA and the other producers were going to make a moh game that takes place in Afghanistan... just like all other shooters today, i.e. mw, mw2, and others. I just hope that it doesn't take away the intense, brutal, and even comical gameplay that I am so used to with moh games. I've loved all of the moh's - killing nazis, and japanese. I guess it is time for me to accept the change and go with the flow. EA has to compete with other companies and create a game that challenges rivals like mw2 so that is understandable I guess. A'right den (Slingblade reference). Peace guys and enjoy playing games! Have fun in life and just leelax (relax).

Medal of Honor campaign hands-on
The little things shine through in a big, dusty, Afghan adventure
Sep 16, 2010
You already know that Medal of Honor’s campaign involves dashing to cover, clearing AK-wielding bad guys out of dusty rooms, and operating airborne cannons. It doesn’t reinvent single-player war shooters, and nor should it. Medal of Honor is Medal of Honor, so it’s EALA's craftsmanship of this campaign that matters. Standard shooter conventions don’t inescapably prevent a game from being fresh and original - it’s all in the details... » Read Full Medal of Honor preview
Medal of Honor: PAX 2010 updated multiplayer impressions
Have a new mode and DICE's post-beta changes made a difference?
Sep 04, 2010
My first experience with Medal of Honor's multiplayer was with the PS3 beta. I was intrigued but not-quite-convinced. Since then, multiplayer developer DICE (EALA is handling the campaign) has made a host of improvements, most notably to the game's graphics, balance, and hit detection. Those improvements, as well as a new mode, were playable on PC here at PAX. I was only able to play one match, so my impressions are limited, but here's how it felt... » Read Full Medal of Honor preview
Medal of Honor multiplayer beta impressions
There's a lot to love, and a lot to, sort of, hmm, just... not be sure about
Jun 21, 2010
There's a gunfight raging in our heads. One side of the battle is certain that the Medal of Honor beta shows off an FPS multiplayer achievement as important as the Battlefield series, or the first Modern Warfare, or the great Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. The other side is shooting wildly into the air, confused and uncertain. We just don't know what to think yet... » Read Full Medal of Honor preview
Is Medal of Honor the new Modern Warfare?
After another look at EA's Medal of Honor reboot, we pit it against the current champion
Mar 10, 2010
It's difficult to talk about the upcoming modern-day Medal of Honor reboot without making comparisons to the Modern Warfare series, so we won't (we don't like difficult things). Modern Warfare 2 is immensely polished and popular, but it does suffer from cheap tricks which unbalance the multiplayer modes, a slew of glitches, and a campaign that's riddled with plot holes and accelerates like a Toyota. Will Medal of Honor restore balance to modern-day combat? Here are a few reasons it might. » Read Full Medal of Honor preview

We imagine the people who qualify to be Tier 1 Ops have lots of medals. Enough to use them as shuriken, at least. They’re so skilled and sneaky we’d never heard of them, which just makes Green Berets and Commandos look rubbish. » Read Full Medal of Honor preview
