PS3 News | Medal of Honor Airborne
Anyone who has been following Medal of Honor: Airborne will be well aware that a major gameplay feature in the WWII FPS sequel is "go anywhere," i.e. the ability to parachute into any part of a level and begin the fight against the Nazi war machine from there. A new trailer released focuses on that feature, using the D-Day attack on Utah beach as an example of the game's open battlefields that allow players to choose where to initiate their assault from. A heavily defended German beach ... » Read More

PS3 News | Medal of Honor Airborne
Will Medal of Honor: Airborne see EA's former golden boy of the WWII FPS scene reclaim the throne? Well, we'll have to wait until the end of August when the game releases - on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 - to find out. In the meantime, 25 new screenshots - we know, some of them look the same - from the shooter have leapt from a C-47 and parachuted into GamesRadar offices. Airborne shoves you into the boots of Boyd Travers, a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, and finds you battling the German ... » Read More

PS3 News | Medal of Honor Airborne
Thursday 31 May 2007 EA has just released a load of new screenshots from Medal Of Honor Airborne, their this-gen version of the World War 2 shooter that has players parachuting into warzones. Check them out here. It's been a while since we've seen anything of the game and we're not entirely sure what to make of them - is it just us or do they have some decidedly low-res textures going ... » Read More

PS3 News | Medal of Honor Airborne
What makes Medal of Honor: Airborne different from the rest of the FPS crowd is, well you know, the air drops. Each mission begins with an "In the Plane" sequence that ends with you getting out of the plane from several thousand feet in the air. Once you're out of the plane, there is no loading time or sequenced mission objectives (even saving the game is seamless), and it's up to you where to land. We have a new trailer today that shows off some of the combat and a bit of a drop sequence, and ... » Read More

PS3 News from N4G | Medal of Honor Airborne
PS3 - Medal of Honor Airborne - EA says, EA will develop different genres of games for each system, using each of their strengths.

"Something like Harry Potter is a very clear candidate to lead on the Wii," offered Florin.

"Shooters like Medal of Honor, Black, we will clearly concentrate on PlayStation 3 because we need Cell processor power."

"Then we've got more strategic, online-orientated games that we concentrate more on 360," he added.

PS3 News | Medal of Honor Airborne
It's a big 'if.' But, 'if' Medal of Honor: Airborne manages to live up to this trailer, and 'if' the parachuting sections aren't just on-rails gimmickry, and 'if' EA can finally forge the MoH series back into the brilliant Nazi-busting WWII romp we fondly remember, the answer would be yes - Medal of Honor is good again. After a spewing of installments that have been all but humiliated by Call of Duty and Brothers In Arms' superior soldiering, Airborne gives us a reason to turn back to the ... » Read More

PS3 News | Medal of Honor Airborne
EA's Medal of Honor: Airborne has suffered a few delays but eyes are now turning to late August 2007 for its release. E-tailer GameStop is saying the WWII first-person shooter will release in North America on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on August 28. EA's Medal of Honor series has been trumped by Call of Duty of course, but Airborne could be the game that finds it reclaiming its throne. Much is being made of the sandbox-style gameplay in the title, a key feature the ability to parachute into the ... » Read More

PS3 News | Medal of Honor Airborne
We have to say that on a visual level, these are probably the best screenshots we've seen from EA's Medal of Honor: Airborne to date. Press your face up to your monitor screen and see what you think. EA's WWII FPS series has been trumped by Call of Duty, but Airborne could just be the game that sees Medal of Honor reclaim its throne. A big deal is being made about the freeform nature of the gameplay, players as members of 82nd Airborne Division able to determine their own starting point in ... » Read More

PS3 News | Medal of Honor Airborne
Wednesday 8 November 2006 Explosions that rumble like the bowels of the devil himself, blasts that catapult Nazi rag dolls in Fosbury Flops, tracer, searchlights, burning Dakotas and screaming Yanks. If you're looking for fiddly, pedantic foot soldiering in your trailers, go somewhere else. This is Medal of Honor: Airborne, and it's big, dumb and very, very noisy. But this footage shows more than just the carnage, chaos and cinematics of the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC WWII shooter. As part of this ... » Read More

A selection of Medal of Honor: Airborne shots have dropped into our laps and give us a further glimpse at some of the night jumps that will appear in the upcoming World War II first-person shooter. PS3 - Medal of Honor Airborne - Medal of Honor: Airborne - Character Graphics Demo Pic What you're looking at here (see Image section below for high-res version) is a technical shot of Travers provided by character modeler Eoin Colgan. This is a shot to showcase the level of detail you can expect from the characters in MoHA. This shot is made from game assets ¿ it's game geometry and game-resolution textures. It's also about as clean as a character shot gets ¿ no blooms, no environment effects, no hiding in shadows, and no fake environment pasted in behind him.

If Medal of Honor: Airborne - the latest in EA's WWII shooter series - is going to threaten Call of Duty's stranglehold on war-torn action, it has to be something special. The last few MoH games have been disappointing, but this fresh footage has convinced us that the magic is back, and with a vengeance. As one of the US Army's paratroopers - the Airborne division of the title - you'll be starting every mission from the air. Hopefully, the rest of the Medal of Honor formula will get the same ... » Read More
