Activision Publishing, Inc. Announced today that the greatest Super Hero action/RPG team-up just got a super-powered upgrade with Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 downloadable content, now available until December 31, 2009, for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system.

Penance, the whiny afterbirth of never-been-cool character Speedball, is coming to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. The angst-ridden hero was announced at a Comic-Con panel Saturday with a brand new trailer that showed off his particular skill set.
Activision has told GamerZines that Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 will feature format-specific unlockable characters, ie. each version of the game will feature bonus playable characters unique to that platform.
