Enjoying advertising Halo: Reach for Microsoft? What's that you say? You're just playing it? You're an intelligent, free-thinking, anti-establishment individual, and there's no way you'd help out a global mega-corporation with its marketing?
Well if you're playing the Reach beta, or any other in fact, that's exactly what you're doing. And it's far from the only way you're playing into the industry's hands. Want to know how else you're helping it do all the things you probably moan about on a day-to-day basis? Here we go...
2010 has been ridiculous so far. Within the first three months, there’s a little slice of gaming heaven for everyone. Yet, having both MAG and Battlefield Bad Company 2 released so close to each other is torture. If you can devote time to both, congratulations, but unfortunately, most of us must make the Sophie’s Choice-like decision to lock and load one or the other. Both are great, but which one is best for you?
Let’s get one thing straight right from the off: I’m shit at COD. Oh sure, I’ve finished both Modern Warfares on Veteran with my sanity and personal hygiene (barely) intact. But pit me against a P90-wielding fourteen-year-old from Arkansas on the land of the interwebs and I absolutely crumble. Want further proof of my sheer shittyness? I had to knock back five cans of the strongest French lager known to man in an effort to
You’ve no doubt seen that most folk have posted their MAG reviews by now, and you’ve come to GamesRadar today to, amongst other things, check out our Super Review, right? Well, erm, we haven’t got one. But before you click back to Facebook to stalk that ex you had in high school, hear us out.

Way back in January, we did what a lot of other tech and gaming websites do, and published a list of predictions for the then-new year. In this case, we predicted the games that we thought – for a variety of reasons – wouldn’t see the light of day until at least 2010, and published it under the somewhat inflammatory headline No Heavy Rain until 2010?
Christmas '09 is cancelled, but early next year looks amazing.
With online battles designed to support up to 256 players, MAG is shaping up to be one of the biggest and most ambitious console shooters of all time. With 256 players shooting, driving, sniping, and blasting each other on the same map, it’s theoretically possible that MAG will be about 64 times more intense than a four player campaign in Left 4 Dead, 16 times more addicting than a 16 player Slayer match in Halo 3, and 14.2222 times more satisfying than an 18 player round of Team Deathmatch in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
We've all seen dozens of lists over the years that recount all the things old-school game designers loved to include in their games for bizarre and unknown reasons, like exploding barrels and wolves that carry gold and chainmail for you to loot upon their death. Yes, these things were weird, and yes, they were ubiquitous in 8-,16-, and even 32-bit games.

Find out below with our bullet-point rundown of all the Sony conference highlights.
