After the news broke several months ago that PSN title Lemmings was to get trophies, fans of the series have been waiting with bated breath for the fabled trophy patch. Today it finally goes live so retro gamers and trophy enthusiasts everywhere can finally let out a collective sigh of relief.

Talking to Gamasutra as part of an upcoming San Diego Studio Tour series, SCEA producer Jim Molinets has revealed that the San Diego studio's internal team has shifted focus from large-scale PS2/PS3 titles into three PlayStation Network PS3 downloadable games, underscoring Sony's support for digital downloads. Molinets explained to Gamasutra: Internally, we have shifted our focus from doing large-scope PS2 and PS3 titles to doing PSN titles exclusively. We've got three smaller groups now, and they're all doing very differentiated products with different requirements.

Lemmings features 40 puzzles presented with newly created high definition graphics, and is available for £5.99. There's also a demo which you can get for free before you buy. Also available is Go! Sudoku, which, as you would imagine, lets you play Sudoku on your PS3. The game is available for free, but you'll have to pay $2.99 for each additional puzzle pack: Easy (516 puzzles), Mild (376 puzzles), Difficult (198 puzzles) and Fiendish (98 puzzles). Already available are shooters Blast Factor and Cash Guns Chaos, with flOw announced for release on December 19.

Sony Computer Entertainment has confirmed with IGN today that it will unveil three more downloadable options for the PlayStation Store starting tomorrow. Lemmings 2, Go! Sodoku 2 and a playable demo of Genji: Days of the Blade will be available at an undisclosed time starting Thursday, December 7. Featuring 40 brand new levels, added visual effects, and 1080p HD support, Lemmings 2 will retail for $5.99 and take up 270 megabytes of hard drive space. Go! Sodoku 2 will work with a more open price structure, as the initial level will be absolutely free with every level afterwards costing $2.99. There are four levels in all -- Easy, Mild, Difficult, and Fiendish. Combined, these four breakouts will make for 1000 different stages and the game will support up to four players as well. Its size is 86MB for the base file and 100k for each additional level.

Some wily NeoGAF forumers somehow managed to get their hands on screenshots and info of games coming to the PS3's online service, inadvertently leaked before they were set to be revealed at the San Francisco Press Day on Thursday. The games include: ¿ Blast Factor ¿ Flow ¿ Go! Sudoku ¿ Lemmings 2 ¿ Swizzleblocks Blast Factor, Flow and Lemmings 2 look particularly snazzy.
