Harmonix and MTV Games today announced that a five pack of tracks from AFI and singles from The Bangles and Them Crooked Vultures will be added next week to the Rock Band Music Store of Downloadable Content (DLC) for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii. Tracks from Dead Kennedys and Sleater-Kinney will be available for download next week for Rock Band Unplugged on PlayStation Portable (PSP).

Mike from Project Gamers writes: Next week Harmonix brings us Rock Band gurus an AFI pack 01 including: Beautiful Theives, End Transmission, Love Like Winter, Medicate, The Leaving Song, Pt II. The AFI pack 01 will cost $8.49 or $1.99 a track. Harmonix will also bring us The Bangles – "Walk Like an Egyptian" for a Lego Rock Band family-friendly track, also available for non-Lego Rock Band owners. (All tracks are original master recordings.) Now if your a PSP owner of Rock Band don't fret (pun intended) we have you covered for two tracks next week including: Dead Kennedys – "California Über Alles" and Sleater-Kinney – "You're No Rock'n'Roll Fun". Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and MTV Games today announce that LEGO Rock Band will feature the likeness of chart-topping UK band, Blur. Singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree will be shown in the game as LEGO mini figures as players perform the group's hit track, "Song 2."

Iggy will be shrinking down and rocking out to his own "The Passenger," along with whatever else you might want to play. If it's not "The Passenger," though, he won't enjoy it.

"Wired.com has obtained a partial list of upcoming downloadable songs for Rock Band that includes Queen, The White Stripes, and The Raconteurs.

The list, which comes from a highly-placed source close to Harmonix, features a number of interesting bits of news about the near future of the Rock Band franchise, including confirmation that the songs from the upcoming kid-oriented game Lego Rock Band will be exportable to your hard drive, if you want to play them in your main Rock Band set list instead of having to swap the disc. (Our source says a small fee will likely be attached to this feature, as was the case when exporting the songs from the original Rock Band.)"

"Yesterday, much to everyone's non-surprise, LEGO Rock Band was revealed to the world. Despite the fact that we've had time to prepare for its arrival, reactions were... mixed.

The "family friendly" marriage of the LEGO and Rock Band brands has some people crying foul, perhaps worried that it means wearing their Rock Band "guitar icon" t-shirt won't be as cool on the playground any more. Others are open to the fact that maybe playing Rock Band with LEGOs could be at the very least, I don't know, fun?

Regardless, we don't know enough about the game yet to really make a final call. But a listing on Xbox.com has shed light on some game details, more specifically, the LEGO-theme "rock challenges." Examples include playing a 'killer riff to destroy a giant robot, summon a storm, and demolish a skyscraper using the power of rock!'"
