The Killzone servers have undergoing maintenance earlier this week, for which the team simply stated it was a routine exercise. This second cycle is to implement a fix on what can only be assumed was the source of an issue discovered during the last downtime. At present, all thats been confirmed for this latest maintenance cycle is a fix to the Friends Leaderboards.
Killzone 3's first week sales in the UK failed to better those of Killzone 2, GfK ChartTrack reports. While Killzone 3 is the 14th fastest selling Sony title in terms of week one sales, Killzone 2 (released two years ago), is the company's 5th fastest selling title and remains the series' number one in terms of week 1 sell-through.

Guerrilla Games has observed that environments in the first half of its Killzone 2 lacked variety, something it's strived to improve in the third game of the series.
