PS3 - Killzone 2 - Sony Explains Why LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2 Weren't Downloadable 1Up: Sony still isn't prepared to make every one of their high-profile releases available day-and-date online and retail, said PlayStation Network senior director Susan Panico at today's webcasted Morgan Wedbush Morgan Securities New York MAC conference.

SOCOM: Confrontation and Gran Turismo 5: Prologue were two PlayStation 3 releases made available online via PlayStation Network and at retail last year. LittleBigPlanet and Killzone 2, two other PS3 releases, were not.

"One of the things we found, though, was that the Blu-ray disc experience for marquee games like that [LittleBigPlanet] currently just work better because the consumer wants to go in and get that physical product," explained Panico to Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter. "They want to go in and get the extra goodies that they get on the disc."

There's another reason, though, one we've heard many times before.

PS3 - Killzone 2 - Gamefly Charts: Halo Wars Dominates Again GamerDeals.net writes:

"Some would argue that the Gamefly 'most queued' should be taken with a grain of salt. Generally, it is apparent that the Xbox 360 is the most common rental platform that absolutely skews the results. In addition, one could argue that a title that appears near the top of the list is there because it is worth a rental versus a purchase. With that being said, it is still a decent gauge on the level of interest for a particular game.

For the week of March 10, 2009, Halo Wars once again takes the top spot on the cross-platform Gamefly Top Ten 'Most Queued' list. Following close behind is Resident Evil 5 (PS3, Xbox 360). MadWorld is at the top of the Nintendo Wii Queue as well...

Queue up the complete Gamefly Top 10 most requested lists:"

PS3 - Killzone 2 - Does Killzone 2 take Call of Duty 4's Crown? It only took me two hours to come to the conclusion that Call of Duty 4 was finally trumped as king. My decision based upon writing this article fell only on the reason that I want every FPS fan to play this game. If you do not have a Playstation 3, and you love FPS, now is the best time to go ahead and pick one up, along with a copy of Killzone 2.

PS3 - Killzone 2 - Rumor: Killzone 2 patch has improved the controls Gamezine: Killzone 2 has been patched to version 1.2. Minor tweaks have been made to the controls.

Some have complained that Killzone 2's controls are "plagued" by input lag. Some say that it is a deliberate move by Guerilla Games to make Sev's moves feel realistic and weighty. I personally think they are two different issues.

The latest patch includes a few minor tweaks to controller input.

Some forumites are saying that the patch has improved the supposed input lag, including the removal of the controller's deadzones (there used to be a delay before turning around.)

PS3 - Killzone 2 - Killzone 2 Will Receive DLC Based on the Suggestions of Players From Softpedia - Killzone is, along with a few other titles, one of the key franchises for Sony's PlayStation brand of consoles. Having won over a lot of fans on the PS2 with the first title, the team at Guerrilla Games confirmed, with the PSP title Killzone: Retribution and now, with Killzone 2 already launched and gaining critical acclaim and fan popularity, that things are going great for the series.

But don't think that this means that the team at Guerrilla Games is taking a break, as it is already hard at work on elaborating the first batch of DLC (Downloadable Content) that will arrive in the near future for the Killzone 2 title. Steven Ter Heide, a producer at the company, has talked with GameSpot about the DLC, and how he wants it to respond to the desires of fans around the world.

PS3 - Killzone 2 - Helghast Invade San Francisco Friday, Feb. 27th, 2009…to Sony it marked the official launch of their exclusive first-person shooter Killzone 2, and the date the Helghast invaded many living rooms across the country. For some others, it marked the date Killzone 2 literally invaded, with a personal visit from a Helghast soldier to some of the gaming media in San Francisco.

Cameras picked up a rare peace offering trip where the Helghast put aside their differences with the human race and dropped off cupcakes with their likeness emblazoned on each treat. Of course, the Helghast couldn't pass up the opportunity to scare a few folks at IGN's offices, but good times were had by all.

PS3 - Killzone 2 - GameFly Rental Charts Feb. 24-Mar. 2: Killzone 2 victorious It isn't often that Microsoft's Xbox 360 is ousted from the top of GameFly's weekly console and portable rental charts. Of course, it also isn't often that an exclusive of Killzone 2's caliber is released. Last week, Guerrilla Games' critically lauded PlayStation 3-only sci-fi shooter debuted to avid rental enthusiasm, according to GameFly's rental activity for the week of February 24-March 2.

However, similar to the prior week's Street Fighter IV for the PS3 anomaly, the remainder of the chart belonged to the Xbox 360. Console exclusives Left 4 Dead, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, and Gears of War 2 picked up the second, third, and fifth slots in GameFly's chart, and Call of Duty: World at War placed fourth.

PS3 - Killzone 2 - Guerilla Games: No Decision Made Regarding Controls In a seeeming U-Turn, Guerilla Games have chosen to clarify their position on the most controversial subject that has surrounded KillZone 2; the control/aim sensitivity.

Despite previous articles submitted as news, Guerilla have never out right rejected the idea of releasing a patch to tweak the XY sensitivity as they emphasised they would look hard at feedback from players. That feedback has come to a resounding conclusion - the controls are an issue to a significant amount.

Read the forum posting to read their intentions.
