James Bond 007: Casino Royale

So it's being rumoured that Raven Software, the Activision-owned developer of the criminally under-promoted Singularity, is hard at work on a unannounced Bond game that had previously been stalled by MGM's financial troubles. I don't know whether to happy about this story or not. Reasons I should be: Raven have previously been said to be reduced to Call of Duty DLC monkeys since Activision ensured that their excellent time-travelling FPS didn't sell.  Reasons I shouldn't be: A Bond game tends to be the kiss of death, however good your studio is.

Seriously, Activision giving you the Bond license is like being given a massive cake for your birthday, only to realise it's your 30th and you're in Logan's Run. Hopes and fears? I have plenty of both. Click on.

Yeah, so we're not a film site admittedly, but elsewhere on the GamesRadar network, TotalFilm.com has a load of new Quantum of Solace info you can't miss. Given that a new next-gen Bond game is almost certainly on the cards we reckon you'll forgive us this little introduction.

The new James Bond game will be developed by Spider-Man 2 developer, Treyarch, and will be the first Bond since Activision acquired the 007 license from Electronic Arts. The news comes from a job listing on the Activision website which ran "Treyarch is looking for a gameplay designer for our upcoming Bond title". It was also mentioned that Treyarch is looking for people to work on next-gen titles, which suggests the new Bond game will be released for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. This new Bond game
