All signs point toward a follow up to Sucker Punch's electrifying super hero title, InFAMOUS. First, Sucker Punch was looking to hire an artist well versed in urban street fashion, something our buddy Sly was never into. Then, we also had voice actors talking about auditions for the game.

So assuming all that is correct, we now know another aspect of InFAMOUS 2 - it will be including some sort of online mode.

With the PlayStation 3 Slim starting to show up at Best Buys around the country, the national retailer has kicked off a plan to try and cut-down on the number of people returning a recent PS3 for the newer PS3 Slim, sourced tell Kotaku.

An internal memo, verified independently by a number of employees at different stores, shows that Best Buy is offering people who come into the story to exchange recently purchased PlayStation 3's for the newly released PS3 Slim a choice of a free PlayStation 3 title in lieu of the new slimmer, larger-hard-drive sporting console.

TripleChat reports that a price cut to Sony's monster of a console is all but inevitable now. With reports coming in that Microsoft will phase out its 60GB Pro model and reduce the price of the Elite unit to $299; Sony is going to have to step up and reduce the price of their console. TripleChat states that potential buyers everywhere should expect both the announcement of the PS3 Slim model as well as a price cut to go with it next week at Games Con.

Given Sony's history on PS3 price cuts, there is a bit of worry to be had by buyers as the site claims there are two ways a price cut announcement can go; one that benefits the buyer, and one that only temporary boosts the company's sales numbers. Which one should be longed for by the gaming community?

Achievements have been in video games for many years, though not in the way we know them now. Goldeneye on the Nintendo 64 rewarded players who completed goals with guns, cheats & special modes, while Spyro 2 on the original PlayStation rewarded players who unlocked 'Skill Points' with extra lives.

However, these achievements really created the foundation that PlayStation's Trophies and Xbox 360's Achievements and Gamerscore were based upon, although they were arguably not as rewarding or satisfying to achieve. As the months go by since the introduction of Trophies to the PS3 on July 2nd 2008, to compete with rival Xbox 360's Achievements and Gamerscore system, the challenges set by developers for Trophies have changed drastically.

The NPD numbers show an interesting battle between two similar games: Prototype and inFamous.

Excerpt: "Now, however, that the June NPD numbers are out we can finally declare a winner and put this to rest as early reports had inFamous selling around 190,000 copies for the first week, but the NPD numbers had a weaker showing of 175,900 in May. The June numbers show an additional 192,700 for inFamous, bringing it up to a total of 368,600 since launch while Prototype racked up 419,900 on the Xbox 360 alone. We don't know the number of PS3 sales, as it apparently didn't make the top 10 reported by NPD - and PC sales are currently unavailable.

But even without PS3 and PC sales it would seem that Prototype has come out as the fan favorite over inFamous."

Destructoid writes: Electronic Entertainment Design and Research has weighed in on the Prototype versus inFAMOUS debate with numbers. According to EEDAR estimates, Prototype is set to outsell inFAMOUS by a dazzling 90 percent when combining the sales of the multiplatform releases of Prototype. However, inFAMOUS is expected to sell between at least 35 to 50 percent more on the PlayStation 3 than Activision's title.

As noted in the blurb we received about the sales estimates, these numbers carry some meaning with publishers. Nobody was hurt by the exclusive release of inFAMOUS, but the potential of making more money by spreading the console love is obviously present. I asked EEDAR's director of analyst services Jesse Divinich if money given for exclusivity would balance the numbers in some way. He said it wouldn't.

In an interview with the Belgian website 9lives Bruce Oberg, co-founder of Sucker Punch, admitted that it was a difficult job to release Infamous within time. "We had several mountains to climb. But two mountaints we could'nt climb due to a lack of time: multiplayer and downloadable content."

PlayStation Blog: So with only 8 days left until inFAMOUS hits the stores, I wanted to share with you some quick updates.

Sucker Punch have created a 4-part comic that chronicles the days following that fateful blast that changed Cole's life forever. Part 1 of 4 is already out, check IGN for the final parts when they're released.

Now if any of you are planning to watch Terminator Salvation this weekend, be on the lookout for the inFAMOUS 30-sec commercial that will be running in theaters nationwide from May 22nd to May 28th.

Not long to wait now…but just a reminder that you can get your hands on inFAMOUS before it comes out by playing the official demo that goes live on the PSN this Thursday. Hope you enjoy it.
