I agree with giving it a 7. Its his opinion anyways. review scores depend on what you like and dislike.
Also i dont really care if he compared it to prototype. maybe infamous is actualy better, maybe not. we'll find out.

GOOD REVIEW

i hate all videogames they ruin peoples lives. look at all you junkies arguing about some rating on a videogame site. this is what xbox 360 and ps3 does to you.

GamesRadarMikelReparaz isn't a sheep. I defend this review as I defend all other opinions.

While I will still look into this and if I like it a lot, of course disagree but hey, no game is loved by all...

...you fanboys make the PS3 fans look bad and trust me, Nintendo and Microsoft have huge fanboys.

I find it difficult to take this review seriously when the majority of reviews I find is in Favor on inFamous, BUT that's just my opinion like it is Mikel's.

Although I find it completley moronic to compare this to other said games such as Web of Shadows and Prototype, seriously?

Next time when you compare games, make sure your comparing the whole game and not just one aspect of it like if it was more fun to jump around in Web of Shadows or inFamous. Really now??

I know this will get lost amongst the incoherent rants of fanboys shouting 'bias' but, I appreciate the honesty of the review. Just tell it like it is. Thats how this industry should work. If more reviewers could just tell you the truth.... I actually cancelled my preorder a week ago because I could tell that exploring just wasnt going to be all that exciting. Meanwhile, prototype is paid off and ready to pick up. Nice review. Keep up the good work

WHEW it took a long time to read all those comments! Next time I'm about to read all the way through the comments I'll just read through Atlas Shrugged or the entire dictionary instead, it'll be faster. I don't know much about the game in question personally so let me just say this to both sides: Your actual opinions aside, as long as you give your arguments calmly and without spamming swears or personal attacks, you'll have the respect of me and all the other people's opinions who really matter.

Good review, I was wondering what you guys would say compared to other people

I got an early copy of the game, and I would def consider myself critical when it comes to games, but I think you made the game sound a lot worse than it really is. I played it to completion the first time being good and am on my second play-through being bad. I hate it when numbers are assigned to games to begin with but if I were to assign a number score to inFamous it def wouldnt have gotten a 7. The platforming and building-climbing aspects are done as well as Assassin's Creed, which is no small feat. When it comes to a FUN FACTOR, this game has it in spades. Not to mention that Sucker Punch polished the heck out of this game.

By the way, I am utterly confused as to how Bionic Commando got an 8 and this got a 7, lol. Bionic Commando is terrible.

P.S. I have also played some of Prototype, and I have to say that both games are fantastic, but they are definitely different beasts.

Its is going to be funny when Infamous has a higher metacritic score than Prototype. Its just review relax people.

Wow. With the proper sense of humor (which I like to think Wikiparez has) this "argument" becomes quite amusing. So because all of the other "major" sites like IGN (who f**king sucks, BTW) are tripping all over themselves to fellate this game Mikel should just be a sheep and do the same? That's bullshit. There's nothing wrong with being critical, I find the critical reviews are often more informative anyway. And the people (person? You know who you are) who don't understand the difference between rating a demo and rating a game are even funnier.

Oh, and whoever ranted about GR was "pop-up infested", congratulations, your opinion is completely invalid.

To everyone who doesn't let this review destroy them emotionally and still enjoys (or doesn't enjoy) the game: congratulations on not being a fanchild. To the rabid fanchildren who play the game and are disappointed and realize that they were wrong all along but continue to lie to themselves about it, like I know some of you will: I'll be laughing at you.

I love when people whose jobs aren't to review games complain about a score. The man gets paid for a reason. Also, he's always right.

I would shout bias, but I kind of agree about the side missions. I got bored on the demo with missions, i'd rather just jump around everywhere killing people.

Good God, WikiParez! A 7? That's absurd, thats like, totally a good score! You should be ashamed for having an opinion that differs from the norm. What is wrong with you?! You must not understand the complicated art of video games, for you liked Prototype more than this game, I mean who does that? You are an anomaly, and should be murdered. Welcome to Nazi Germany, here is your pre-determined review score.

Something I meant to point out earlier. Let's look at some facts: GR gave MGS4 a 9, a score I think it deserved. LBP got a 10. Killzone 2 got a 9. Resistance 2 got a 9, the same score Gears 2 got and a BETTER score than it got from Playstation: the Official freaking Magazine. Bias? Really?

Well, the whole discussion is not only pointless, it also shows how many people are not getting what reviews are about. No one should see them as some sort of definite verdict that tells you whether or not to buy this game. Nowadays there are demos available for quite a few games on marketplace or psn, so everyone can see for themselves. Apart from that, the reviewer, any reviewer in fact, just provides his or her own opinion. And by the way, a 7 is quite good. At my university, a 5.5 is a pass, and that's the way I also think of review scores (if I find a game interesting, I'll get it anyway, regardless of any review score, but reading multiple opinions on an issue is always suggested) Also, I do not get why people make all kinds of comparisons here. The game, if at all, is being compared to games of the same genre, that's it. Just stop comlaining about review scores all the time... Even IF someone isn't able to download a demo, it's still possible to simply rent and try whether it's fun or not.

Mikel,
As a Xbox 360 owner I want to thank you for creating a haven for us 360 owners to come and take stabs at all the PS3 exclusives that are releasing this year. I hope you do the same to Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2 as well. Nah give them 6's! I hate looking at Metacritic anymore bc all the other sites are loving the PS3 exclusives. Even the bigger, more prominent sites like IGN and Gamespot love this game (both gave it a 9.0+). Thanks again, Mike, for showing that you are willing to put your console of choice over integrity in journalism. This has always been a pro 360 site and I hope it stays that way. Go Mikel!

@Drushi1: Wow, I guess that as a 360 fanboy, the scores we gave Killzone 2, Flower and Burn, Zombie, Burn! this year must have really pissed you off, huh?
