GamesThirst: You want to sell something? Then put sex in it; that's the society we live in today, shallow I might add, since life is way more than naked ladies strolling across your TV screen. Especially in video games, some developers carelessly plaster naked women at different points with no tie-in whatsoever as if to say, 'here, that's what you want, then here, indulge.' David Cage feels the same way, and in a recent interview with Eurogamer, he shared his thoughts.
NowGamer: Speaking exclusively to NowGamer, David Cage admits that there's one misconception floating around that truly gets his goat.
NowGamer: Speaking exlusively to NowGamer in part one of our huge in-depth interview with Heavy Rain auteur David Cage, the outspoken director feels that the industry needs to grow up.
TVGB: "Speaking at last week's Eurogamer Expo Dev Session, Cage outlined his thoughts on the subject. "My personal belief is there are two ways of thinking about games," he said. "You can think about games like toys or entertainment, where you want to spend some time having fun. That's fine and there's nothing wrong with that.""
He's one of videogaming's most outspoken creators, so excuse IGN for being a little nervous before meeting Quantic Dream's David Cage, the talent behind Fahrenheit (or Indigo Prophecy as it's known Stateside) and the forthcoming Heavy Rain, one of the PlayStation 3's biggest hopes for 2010.
VGarabia.com: During an interview session at Gametrailers.com with the director (David Cage) of the upcoming PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain, the infamous director revealed some new info about his game and how it will handle trophies. But what is more interesting is when the interviewer asked him about who he think is the most interesting videogames author in the industry.
Launching in early 2010, Sony and Quantic Dream will be releasing a major PS3 hitter in the form of Heavy Rain. Though David Cage of Quantic Dream does confirm a demo will hit.
The Bullring Centre in Birmingham, England, is one of the largest shopping centres in Europe, and Sony has come out in full force to promote the PlayStation name to the public, with a very impressive display.
TVGB: "With PS3-exclusive Heavy Rain set to feature interactive sex and stripping scenes alongside a nice bit of vidjagame violence, it looks likely that the game is headed for a 'Mature' rating. However, as highlighted again recently, the Australian ratings board just don't approve anything intended for an audience above the age of 15. Does that worry the game's creator David Cage? Not really."
TVGB: "Writer/Director David Cage has revealed how distressing scenes he witnessed during the development of Heavy Rain played an important role in the game's creation. While searching for locations, Cage was exposed to poverty and degradation that left him deeply shocked, yet inspired him to create authentic environments and characters."
ConnectedConsoles: Yesterday at the Eurogamer Expo, Quantic Dream's founder David Cage spoke in an extremely good and witty developer session, in which he played through a demo of the French developers upcoming game Heavy Rain and answered some questions. He revealed a lot more about the game and gave us a real insight as to what we'll be seeing more of in the future.
TVGB: "He didn't really want to get dragged into it, but Quantic Dream's founder and co-CEO David Cage has revealed his belief that the PlayStation 3-exclusive Heavy Rain wouldn't be possible on any other system."

ConnectedConsoles: Not a lot is known about Quantic Dream's Heavy Rain, we can say that. We've even seen gameplay footage and we still don't know the full picture of the game. Though in a video interview with Eurogamer, Quantic Dream CEO Guillaume de Fondaumiere told a little bit more about the development of the game saying that Heavy Rain is an "experience for adults".
Gamer's Guide to Life writes: "A few days ago, you might have seen the news that Bethesda and Splash Damage's Brink would be getting it's first UK presentation at the Eurogamer Expo later this month. Well, if that excited you, wait till you hear about all the other developer sessions and panels which are planned for the Eurogamer Expo this year.
Quantic Dream talk about the production of Heavy Rain, in a new special presentation video.
Gamesthirst: When Quantic Dream revealed a striptease sequence contained in Heavy Rain never seen before to an audience at E3 09, some were uncomfortable with what they saw. There were many who thought it was not necessary to go that far, and questioned the developer's decision.
David Cage, director of Quantic Dream has been talking about Heavy Rain, rubbishing claims of the QTE sequences and praising Sony for looking for quality.
