From PS3Attitude, guest writer Alexander Chalkidis attends Sony's Leipzig keynote speech and writes:
Quantic Dream's David Cage has just taken through some amazing looking Heavy Rain gameplay at Leipzig.

PS3fanboy.com writes, David Cage likes to talk a lot -- especially when 'Uncanny Valleys' are involved. So, it shouldn't come as surprise to see a seven page discussion with the Heavy Rain developer over at Gamasutra. Cutting down to the most relevant bits, Cage solidified Quantic Dream's decision to develop solely for PS3: "Honestly, working on one platform is the best thing we could dream of, and it's a choice."
WhatIfGaming (7/16/08) writes: "Outside just momentarily before eating our sandwiches, we ask the man standing with 2 big boxes in front of us what will be showing to this severely limited and exclusive closed door event held by SCEA."
N'Gai Croal writes:
Looking at the official Sony press release, first party PlayStation 3 titles that were shown at E3 are listed in the release. One PlayStation 3 title from the press release that has not had coverage is Heavy Rain. Is Heavy Rain being shown behind closed doors by Sony? If so, the press would likely have to had signed an NDA to keep quiet about the game. If anything, the game will probably be fully unveiled at the Leipzig Games Convention next month.
Surfer girl writes: " I can confirm I was right (as were many others), that PS3 title the BBC journo said was going on about is indeed Heavy Rain. The teaser trailer, which will see release sometime in the next few months, follows the main character from a morning ritual to the frantic reaction to a seeming lacuna in time (the subsequent journey is the game's main plotline) and the explanation of the game's title. The technology is quite impressive, all the characters in the game are aware of the environments and contexts that they are in--it effects how they behave, what they say, how they feel, et cetera--while taking in their personality and personal experiences into account so that a character's behavior is consistent, realistic and varied."
While most of us in North America don't read the Dutch magazine Chief, one of our readers abroad pointed out that they'd run a major exclusive on upcoming Quantic Dream/Sony title Heavy Rain. (You know Quantic Dream as the company behind Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy, and you know Heavy Rain from my fanboy obsession).
Surfer girl writes: Rockstar is fully owned by Take-Two and it will stay that way, as will the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Remember what happened when co-founder and chief Terry Donovan left Rockstar? Whilst Terry was on Rockstar, Terry, Sam and Dan were known as "the three-headed monster." If the Housers left Rockstar, the same would happen. There is pretty much NO ONE who would follow the Housers on their way out. A new company from them would hardly be a force to be reckoned with.
