After the ongoing confusion surrounding its release date, not only has Ubisoft's Haze been confirmed for a May 23rd release, but now the publisher has also confirmed that the game will boast four player co-op play.
Ubisoft today announced the imminent release of a fully playable demo for Haze, the new first-person shooter set in a harsh future where war is never quite what it seems. Coming exclusively to the PLAYSTATION Network in early May, this playable demo will give gamers a taste of not only the single-player campaign in Haze, but will also allow up to four-player, drop-in drop-out co-op play online.
Haze's release date has officially been locked down and is not set to change again. Ever. CVG is reporting that it has confirmed with Ubisoft that May 23rd is the date that the game will be available in Europe. Haze has been in release limbo for several months now, after it failed to make its November 2007 release date and was pushed to early 2008. Then, in late January, it was pushed back even further with a vague "fiscal 2008/2009" date attached.
Ubisoft just confirmed that Haze will release in Europe on May 23.
EB Canada was instructed to cease their "Return Haze in a week for a full refund" promotion by Ubisoft. Current promotional material out of Canada suggest that the promotion is back on.

Last week MTV Multiplayer read about an incredible offer for Ubisoft's upcoming PS3-exclusive first-person shooter Haze. According to a flyer, the Canadian branch of EB Games (GameStop) was offering gamers what amounted to a one-week rental.

While playing Haze at Play.com Live yesterday, I noticed in the bottom right corner of the screen that the Frames Per Second were only 30 while in game play. I thought that this was weird as most other games play around at 60 FPS now. So what does this mean for Haze will it mean rough gameplay you decide from the footage below...
