PS3 Fanboy writes: Big smiles on both sides of the Atlantic this week. America gets three big games in the form of LittleBigPlanet, MotorStorm PR and Fallout 3. Europe may not be getting their hands on LittleBigPlanet until next week, but at least they've got Fallout 3, Quantum of Solace and Valkyria Chronicles to tide them over which, from what we've seen, look to all be excellent titles. Here's the full release list: US Games * LittleBigPlanet * SingStar Vol. 2 * MotorStorm Pacific Rift * Fallout 3 (Collector's Edition) * Moto GP 08 * Baja 1000: Score International * Guitar Hero World Tour EU Games * Fallout 3 (Collector's Edition) * James Bond: Quantum of Solace * Siren: Blood Curse * Valkyria Chronicles * To End All Wars * Buzz! Quiz TV Special Edition * Hail To The Chimp Asian Games * Fallout 3 * Fracture * Gran Turismo 5: Prologue Spec III * Grand Theft Auto IV * LittleBigPlanet * SOCOM: Confrontation * Yamasa Digi World SP: Bounty Killer

PS3 Fanboy writes: Good grief, where did all these games come from? There's a lot to choose from, especially if you're in the US or Europe. Despite the quantity, there's not a huge amount of overall quality. The only games in the list worth looking at are Overlord, Bourne and Battlefield. Don't be downhearted, Asians. You've finally got your hands on The Darkness. Only a year late, then. Here's the full release list: US Games * Battlefield: Bad Company * Top Spin 3 * Wall-E * Hellboy: Science of Evil * Overlord: Raising Hell * Hail to the Chimp EU Games * Battlefield: Bad Company * Beijing 2008: The Official Olympics Game * The Bourne Conspiracy * Guitar Hero: Aerosmith * Kung Fu Panda * NASCAR 09 Asian Games * Enemy Territory: Quake Wars * The Darkness

Yeah, we'll give E3 its props. But the last thing we needed is another ginormous game expo that lets the big boy publishers hog the spotlight and peddle their billion dollar franchises front and center. Enter the grassroots showcase, Expo for Interactive Entertainment: Independent and Original - or more preferably pronounced as the sing-songy EIEIO.
Gamecock is using its upcoming game Hail to the Chimp to encourage gamers to participate in the real upcoming human election.
Politics have long used animal iconography to make the whole process more approachable to the common man. Now Wideload's upcoming next-gen console game Hail to the Chimp takes that idea to a more primal level.
