You won't, however, be able to import tracks from Guitar Hero: Metallica, an Activision representative informed GamerZines at a recent hands-on event.

It sometimes seems as if a new music rhythm game is released every five minutes, but Harmonix honcho Josh Randall believes things may change in the future. Randall thinks that games like Rock Band may eventually abandon consoles altogether, instead taking the form of instruments with built-in music.

Binge Gamer writes:
6:00 AM – Slice and dice, bub.
They start out with a pretty decent title, one of those cases where the game is better than the movie. X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

10:00 AM – If only Jack Ryan had his wings.
Out of all the clues, this is the only one that has me slightly confused. So I checked where all bargain gamers like myself would go, Cheap Ass Gamer. Most users are saying it is Tom Clancy's HAWX, so I'm going to agree for now.

Another guess is Bioshock (based on "Jack Ryan" being in the hint).

12:00 PM – Nothing Else Matters
C'mon Amazon, make it a little harder next time. Guitar Hero: Metallica.

3:00 PM – Prepare for the future.
This one I wasn't so sure on, but then vazel from GAF remembered that this was the tag line for Fallout 3.

A slight possibility though, is Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. Seeing how you can already get this for thirty bucks new, I am still putting my money on it being Fallout 3 (especially with the "Game of the Year" edition, they probably want to get rid of this stock)

6:00 PM – Step into the ring with the Eighth Wonder of the World
Sorry to crush your hopes if you might have thought this is for Fight Night: Round 4, but my man Andre the Giant was once known as the Eighth Wonder (and also loved when he was known as Fezzik)

Slashgamer: "Prince is considered to be one of the greatest musicians of our time. Honestly, even if for some reason you can't stand him, it's hard to argue his greatness, just look at his achievements. The artiest has won seven Grammy Awards, one Golden Globe and even an Academy Award for his work on Purple Rain.

Even with his legendary work, comes controversy. Without me getting to much into it, just go to his Wikipedia page and look under 'controversy.' With that said, PBS asked Prince on his thoughts about Guitar Hero. Although he didn't necessarily criticizes the rhythm game, he just doesn't think it should be a substitute for playing an actual guitar."
Sure, you might find a tweak here or there, but in truth, this series has been practically perfect from its inception. Guitar Hero: Metallica is more of the same goodness. ...

Thatvideogameblog reports, "Pre-orders are always a hit and miss affair for me. In this day and age of everyone under the sun selling videogames it never seems to be entirely necessary to pre-order a game. However, game stores and companies like when we do it because it gives them money without handing anything over. Thus prompting us to pre-order is in their favor. In this vein Activision has announced that Guitar Hero: Metallica will get three separate pre-order goodies depending on where you get the game from.

GameStops across the country will be bestowing pre-orderers with an entire extra kick-pedal for their drums sets, which is frickin awesome. No less awesome is receiving Metallica drumsticks from Hollywood Video or GameCrazy. Equally no less awesome is the tattoo sleeve you'll get from Best Buy… wait a minute. Tattoo sleeve? That is not awesome or very heavy metal at all. In fact I would argue that a tattoo sleeve is the antithesis of Metallica. If the two came into contact the world would literally explode. So for the sake of humanity, pre-order far away from Best Buy. Also, that image above is the box art - or part of it. See the rest below, and yes, it looks the same for all three systems."
The famed Guitar Hero World Tour band kit came with all sorts of goodies in the form of high-quality wireless instruments. But the question that's been going around is what to do if you just bought the game itself to play with an older version's instruments, bought the guitar-only pack and wanted to rock out with your band, or even if you broke your gear. Activision today announced that this coming Monday the 15th the shelves of you favorite game store will be stocked with individual instruments.
From those first uncertain chords of I Love Rock and Roll in the original Guitar Hero all the way through to smashing several shades of excrement out of your World Tour drum kit during Freak on a Leash – everything was just padding the way for four digitized men to stride purposefully toward a stage drowned in golden fireworks. ...

In case you're just tuning in now, the all 'Tallica Guitar Hero will be hitting the streets on March 29 with some really cool features like different classic venues such as the L.A. Forum, Tushino Airfield, and The Hammersmith Odeon, the ability to play as us or in single instrument mode, and even the Expert+ setting with double bass drum kick pedals.

So without further ado, here are the songs on the game . . . both from Metallica and from some of the bands they admire and even call friends:
