Gamerzines writes: Activision has confirmed that as of September 28th, tracks from 2009's Guitar Hero: Metallica will be available for importing on current Guitar Hero titles.
Neversoft's Brian Bright has told GamerZines that Activision has no plans to launch any band-specific Guitar Hero games this year, telling us that this year they (Activision) really wanted to just focus on two games, presumably the recently announced Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and DJ Hero 2.
According to sources at both Activision and Neversoft, the next 'Guitar Hero' will be the last one Neversoft does before the franchise is handed over to Vicarious Visions. Vicarious Visions has been the studio who has ported all the prior 'Guitar Hero' games to the Wii.

WorthPlaying writes, Grammy Award-nominated American metal rocker and former White Zombie frontman Rob Zombie adds to his Rock Band DLC catalog (currently War Zone) with three new tracks for the Rock Band platform, including Dragula and Superbeast, from his debut solo album, Hellbilly Deluxe, as well as Burn, from his new album, Hellbilly Deluxe 2, to be released Nov. 17. Zombie also has a film currently playing in theaters – Halloween 2, which he wrote, directed and produced.
Earlier in the week, Activision announced that players would be able to import tracks from Guitar Hero: World Tour and Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits for use in the upcoming Guitar Hero 5. You won't, however, be able to import tracks from Guitar Hero: Metallica, an Activision representative informed GamerZines at a recent hands-on event.
