Codemasters have revealed the second car to be included in the upcoming DLC pack for GRID to be the VW W12 Nardo.
The game expansion will feature the car that set several world endurance records for speed and distance at the Nardo test track in southern Italy, believed to be the first time this specific version of the car has been used in a videogame.

Codemasters has responded to irate Race Driver: GRID fans that were stripped of their hard earned ranks in the recent server-wide reset.
"Given the number of reports we've had of people abusing the ranking system to get unfair ranks, it was only fair that we did a reset," said Rich Tysoe, Codemasters' motorsports overseer, on the community forum.
"It's never an easy decision to make, and we'd rather it hadn't come to this, but changes in the patch should make gaining those ranking points back fairer.

Codemasters is, sadly, the latest developer to be added to the list of those who won't be adding trophy support to their already released titles.
On the official GRID forums an administrator has posted saying that they're "currently not planning to restrospectively support PSN trophies - it;s not a trivial thing to add to a game" [sic].
Though this is disappointing, it's not too unexpected. Third party games are the least likely to be patched in. With Criterion showing their contemporaries, hopefully more will decide to rake in the goodwill of gamers by following suit.

Codemasters have launched a Competition offering people the chance to get a livery they've designed featured in the upcoming DLC car pack for GRID.
Entrants have to design a livery for the McLaren F1 GTR '95, which is the first car confirmed to be in the pack.

Shacknews is reporting that Codemasters has released a second Race Driver: GRID demo, sponsored by eBay Motors. The 690mb download features the eBay Motors Muscle Series and two tracks.
Race Driver: GRID is now available on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with a Nintendo DS release following in August.

The game's going to be full localised, as you'd expect, with Japanese text and speech.

Codemasters have announced the list of features, changes and bug fixes on the way in their forthcoming patch for the game. The patch is planned to go live at the end of next week although this date is subject to change. Unless platform specific the list applies to all versions of the game.
The patch features 41 changes and bug fixes designed to enhance the online experience such as reverse gear being disabled for the first 2 seconds of the race. The patch also resolves the stuttering issue many users have reported on the Xbox 360 version.

The drivers happily revved their engines for the assembled crowd. As you might expect it was The Stig that really caught everyone's attention with many vying to say hello to the mysterious magnesium-scented tame racing driver.

Codemasters has released a new video for GRID (Race Driver: GRID in the UK) that shows off a mode reminiscent of the rewind mode in Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.

GRID's Executive Producer has spoken on the Codemasters forums regarding the PS3 version, and the improvements we can expect next week compared to the recent demo version.
The first improvement is that each and every frame is now v-synced, for a rock solid display with no tearing. Secondly the PS3 frame rate is 30fps, 99% of the time, which is great news.
Thirdly, there was no 'lead' platform - each version of the game had dedicated teams to get the most out of each of them - and finally the retail PS3 version has some extra performance improvements since the demo as they were tuning the game right to the last minute. In addition, the developers also have some further improvements lined up in a patch that should be out soon after release.
