Even though the PS3 wasn't the main Console at the Firstlook Event, it still was the Console with the best Game line-up.
ConnectedConsoles: Many people were disappointed when they heard that Gran Turismo 5 would be first released in Japan next year. Now, Polyphony Digital Head Kazunori Yamauchi has said that they could release the game "any time we want". The reason this hasn't happened however, is because Polyphony Digital want to take the game "beyond gamer expectations."

When he isn't busy winning auto races over in Germany, Polyphony Studio head Kazunori Yamauchi spends his days polishing up Gran Turismo 5, his team's latest auto-sim magnum opus.

gtplanet.net : We've got another new interview with Kazunori Yamauchi via GameBlog.fr, and while it's not as personal or as thorough as Xavier Ocampo's, it does produce two interesting and encouraging statements. First, he reiterates the updated damange modeling in Gran Turismo 5 - reinforcing my personal suspicion that negative reactions to the damage shown off at GamesCom was the primary decision for a 2010 release. On the subject of release dates, Yamauchi confirms that is a decision in the hands of Sony Computer Entertainment, since "both versions [PAL and NTSC, presumably] will be finished at the same time".

The BitBag: I got this tip from Bitbag fan Pixelsword. If you haven't heard, someone from Microsoft was posting on Neogaf about Forza 3. A Neogaf admin pointed out that the poster had a Microsoft email address (I didn't agree with this tactic as information on users is supposed to remain private). Pixelsword posted in his N4G blog some info that leads back to this poster actually being a Turn 10 employee. You can follow the email after the jump. I find it funny that devs are using shills in forums. Nothing wrong with that.
Gran Turismo creator, Kazunori Yamauchi has said that the UK and US releases of GT5 are still up in the air, but shouldn't stray too far from the now-confirmed March 2010 Japanese release.

GT Planet writes: "Last weekend's interviews with Kazunori Yamauchi are finally hitting the web. While most reveal nothing that readers don't already know, if we add up the bits and pieces of new information, we can get a better idea of what he is trying to tell us (or not). With so many interviews out at once, it's easy to feel a bit overwhelmed. To help out, I've organized Yamauchi's comments for you, dividing them up by topic."
Gamespot says: Series creator Kazunori Yamauchi says global rollout of anticipated PS3-exclusive racer won't trail March Japanese launch by much.
