Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO of Polyphony Digital and creator and producer of the Gran Turismo series, has apparently said that they are are still in talks with with some car makers, including Ferrari, to allow their cars to be subjected to crash damage in the game.
For those who read UK's Car Magazine, there was an article about the Citreon GT concept car, and it stated that this car is going to be in Gran Turismo 5 this coming spring.

According to the statement by Kazunori Yamauchi seems to be more of a possibility. In a recent interview granted to a German newspaper DerStandard, Yamauchi had confirmed its intention to Polyphony Digital, to achieve a conversion of the title on the PC. At the moment the news is only a rumour, but it is possible that over the next few weeks there are official statements on the matter. We remain on hold.

It's been over three years since we first sighed 'awwwe' to Polyphony Digital's plans to develop a kindly, gentler racing simulation with the kid-friendly Gran Turismo for Boys. Now series mastermind Kazunori Yamauchi has come forward about the project, and in a recent CVG interview commented that Gran Turismo for Boys is still coming, though perhaps as an included feature in Gran Turismo 5 rather than a standalone game.
