The feature was revealed during an interview at the conference. Kazunori pushed the fact that he wanted the player to feel like they actually owned the car, that it wasn't just a car in a game, which led to the feature. "Whether it be from PSP to GT5, to even future renditions, GT6 and on, you can carry over the cars as YOUR cars, as something you own, even if the system changes, you can keep it."
PS3Hype writes: 'Yesterday we saw that Play.com was adding a release date for Gran Turismo 5 on their website. But nothing was confirmed by Sony. But today we've received an email from Play.com where they say that they've got the release date from the publisher/manufacturer of the game. It's likely Target is putting these on sale to make way for the Greatest Hits editions, which are due to hit shelves any day now.
