If you've spent any amount of time playing GT5 Prologue, you've surely noticed the "Tuned Nissan Skyline Coupe (V36)". It offers just enough modification to the standard car's shape without going overboard, and the result is beautiful. Of course, much like the GTbyCitroen, it was designed entirely by Polyphony Digital, and it was not until last year at SEMA that this car will be brought to the "real world" by Japanese tuning shop Zele Performance.

We know the Ford GT is one of Kazunori Yamauchi's favorite cars (he actually owns two of them), which is probably the reason it was featured prominently in Gran Turismo 4's box art and the game's epic video intro. The Dutch PlayStation website PSFocus.nl reports a news item which can only be thinkable in Holland. On a Dutch version of Ebay, called Marktplaats, a person is selling his version of Gran Turismo 5:Prologue and a new SIXAXIS for either 30 Euros of 3 grams of weed. The site also has a picture of the offer.

Kotaku Write: Last year, Sony and Nissan teamed up to hold a Gran Turismo competition. GT racers would compete for a spot on a real race team. The winners are in, so let's go meet 'em.

Lars Schlömer is a German cab driver. Lucas Ordóñez is a uni student from Spain. Both are mad Gran Turismo fanboys, both have mad Gran Turismo skills, both will now be racing in the 24-hour Dubai endurance race on January 8 after they beat out 25,000 other competitors in GT5: Prologue for the top prize.

They'll be joined on the team (the Nissan PlayStation Team) by ex-Formula 1 driver Johnny Herbert, and really, as far as game competitions go I'm stumped trying to come up with one that's so damn amazing.

Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO of Polyphony Digital and creator and producer of the Gran Turismo series, has apparently said that they are are still in talks with with some car makers, including Ferrari, to allow their cars to be subjected to crash damage in the game.

The head of 'Ferrari Challenge' developer 'System 3' said earlier this year that convincing Ferrari to put damage on the cars was a "big challenge".

Eurogamer writes: "Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed Gran Turismo PSP is still in development - even though it's been years since the game was first announced.

When asked where GT PSP has got to, Yoshida said, "Good question! It's in Polyphony Digital, they're working on it."

The reason for the delay, according to Yoshida, is that Polyphony have been busy with other projects. "They have been working on Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Gran Turismo 5 for PS3, so they've had to focus on finishing up Gran Turismo on the PS3 side," he explained. 'That's been making the PSP development a little bit slow.'"
